I was reading on the storm site that with Scott Hill available "makeshift five-eight" Matt Geyer will move back to the wing.
Whilst I for one can't wait to see a fit and healthy Scott Hill on the paddock, I think Geyer is now the incumbent pivot, and that Scotty should be at lock, which I see as his best position anyway, as I have mentioned numberous times on these forums.
Plus, Geyer was more dangerous at 6 than he has been on the wing for a couple of seasons now... what does everyone else think???

My thoughts? I thought Geyer did a very credible job last year at 5/8th and also in the 1999 grand final.
I actually congradulated him on that very fact after the final against Canberra last year.
Damn he still has a lot of pace.
I think Matt Geyer retains his position, put Hill, if fit, at lock. For the wing I'd say Matt King on one side, hmm Moala I think had the other side for the time being. Although I think he could face a challenger in Dustin Cooper from what I've read.

Lets ask Geyer tonight? If he knows
Scott Hill can be heard on SEN 1116 this Saturday night after the Brisbane match from 10.50pm and Matt Geyer will be on SEN on Sunday night between 8pm and 9pm.

Damn! I only read this just before 8:30pm and for some reason my computer disrupts the radio signal so I have to turn my computer off to listen to SEN.
I turned on the radio at 8:30pm and listened through to about 9:10pm but no Matt Geyer. Although on their "scoreboard report" thing they did mention the trial match yesterday and that Geyer scored first points.
Did anyone hear Matt Geyer on the radio?

After speaking with Craig Bellamy and Matt Geyer on Saturday night, I can confirm that Geyer will definately be "starting the season" on the wing - a position that he played very well at on Saturday vs. Broncos.
