We'll be without 5-6 for origin. Here's my predicted team:

1.Hughes
2.Vunivalu
3.Seve/Kata
4.Olam
5.Papenhuyzen
6.Walters
7.Croft
8.J.Bromwich
9.Cam Smith
10.Asofa-Solomona
11.Stimson
12.K.Bromwich
13.B.Smith
14.Kamikamica
15.Welch/Vete
16.Fa'asuamealeaui
17.Grant

18.Kata/Seve
19.King
20.Vete/Eisenhuth
21.Johns/Earl

Mattpoet here is my team assuming Welch is picked for Qld, no one is dropped from Origin and only player not fit is Scott.
1. Papenhuyzen
2. Vunivalu
3. Seve/Kata
4. Olam
5. Earl
6. Hughes
7. Croft
8. J Bromwich
9 C Smith
10 Asofa-Solomona
11 Stimson
12 K Bromwich
13 B Smith
14 Kamikamica
15 Vete
16 Fa'asuamealeaui
17 Walters/Grant
18 Kata/Seve
19 King
20 Eisenhuth
21 Grant/Walters

So that means the only two of our top 30 that aren't in that squad are Johns and Lumelume.

So will be a debut or two next week (possible milestones) NRL debut Fa'asuamealeaui & Walters, Storm debut for Kata & King and 50th NRL game for Earl. Funnily enough if Vete plays it will be his second Storm game, both against Dragons without origin players and virtually 12 months apart - last year Thursday 5th July.

I was going to post this in the QRL thread, but may as well post it here as it directly affects our first grade side for next week:

Interestingly, Billy Walters has been left out of the Easts side for today. Pene, King and Lumelume all make their club debut for Easts whilst Tuilagi makes his return from injury. Not sure if Walters rested with the intention of playing him in the NRL side next week, or if injured.

Will be interesting to see if the Falcons make any late changes later today. Tino and Earl weren't named but travelled to Adelaide. Kata not named anywhere, I thought he was going to be tied to Easts but I could be wrong.

Good sarcasm relies on context. Just sayin'.

Kata and Walters were in Adelaide and both warmed up with the storm team ...Suli also posted that Sandor Tino Billy and Kata did an hours running session after the game on Adelaide oval so none are injured but just didn’t get to travel to QLD ..I assume they will all play next week against the dragons

Thanks Sallymay. So looks like those 4 will come in, plus ( hopefully ) Hughes and ( if Welch gets into the Qld team ) a front rower .

Surely we take precedence over QLD U20?

If he's offered a fg debut, he'll surely take it

Nope QLD comes first ...I’m like 99% sure he was gonna debut for us at the same time last year as well and was called in to camp for QLD and he went to QLD camp

Glad we didn't release Stimson before the June 30 deadline. Pretty light on in the second-row / lock position without Felise and Dale.
