Round 6 - Storm vs Knights
You are making no sense. Someone like Wade Graham could not give two hoots who you are or what you do. If you get the ball on the last tackle he will put pressure on you in exactly the same way. How the player responds to the pressure is different. You stated that kicking to the wingers would somehow give Croft more time. Which is obviously false.
I am talking about the opposition centre who is pivotal to the play.
Wade Graham is obviously coming and going to give you a smack but if the opposition centre is on the back foot because he is not sure if you are going to pass or kick; and your "bomb" kicking game is good so he has to respect it; then the split second is with the player that Croft is passing the ball over to so he can make something more of the pass. Or Croft kicks it; at which point the winger is in a one on one battle (if it is a decent kick) on the goal line to catch the ball and score a try.

Haha very true! I think last week was more out of character for JAC whereas SKD tends to have silly decisions in his game normally. Will be a good contest to watch anyway.yourhero wrote:The Knights are probably thinking the same thing...Danger D wrote:We might benefit from the JAC vs SKD matchup. He made a few bad decisions against the Broncos last weekend.
Gutted for Croft and do feel he's been thrown under the bus a little given the poor start by the team. Was hoping he'd at least be given a crack at redeeming himself before this kind of thing happened. Hopefully he takes this well and finds some form. We're going to have to rely on him turning it around at some point this season.
Anyone with any knowledge of the game could see not only has Croft not been up to scratch, but that it was starting to affect him in a negative way, at his age it is hard to handle pressure and usually at his age players will dip in form and be quite erratic, but they usually find this out on a smaller stage like the 20s or QLD Cup, he has so much expectation on his young shoulders, I have no doubt he will be our future 7 and will be a great player, but he is young and has time to grow into his role here, Jacks is much more seasoned and I think deserves a decent crack, he never lets us down when called upon and he is one of h best defensive halves I’ve seen, Croft will be back, if his form in the coming weeks is good enough and warrants he will make his way back to the side so can everyone stop slitting their wrists over him! He was dropped not sacked!
