Round 5 - Tigers vs Storm
Saturday 7th April
3:00 PM
Mt Smart Stadium
OK, double header this week in Auckland with us vs Tigers as the curtain raiser.
I would normally be confident of a bounce back after our poor showing against the Tigers earlier in the year and after a horror showing last week but I don't have that confidence this week.
Too many errors. Too many penalties. Impotent attack.
The Tigers on the other hand continue to deliver with exceptional respect for the footy and some staunch defence. I hope we improve dramatically... We simply have to, if we want to be in this game.

To be fair, that is nothing new. Even with Cronk in the side, when we have trailed in games in the past, we have rarely looked likely when chasing points. Often plays like the one on Friday night where Slater kicked on Tackle 1 to a retreating defence who covered it oh so easily...Cameron wrote:and if we get behind we will panic.

This double up playing the same team within a matter of weeks is utter crap.blazza18 wrote:I'm not sure if Bellamy values defence if he plays Young next to Suli the next two weeks.
Top work by the NRL scheduling us to play the same team twice in a month (done so with a few other teams too).
We have the same against numerous teams in the next 12 weeks...
Remember this day, men, for it will be yours for all time
Am i the only one who doesn’t mind Young coming in. He’s in pretty good form, 3 tries on the weekend and that third one was an absolute beauty. Olam and Jacks have both been named aswell so we still could go a number of different ways.
Young is fine and will do a job. It's more he's going to play next to Suli who has absolutely no idea what he's doing on the field at the best of times and is currently playing his worst football of his young career. What's he going to be like without the best centre in the game next to him?
Our left edge should get a massive workover if Cleary knows what he's doing.
