What to address for the Cowboys

Storm skipper Cameron Smith knows his side has a big week on the training track ahead of them but is confident they can bounce back.
It was an uncharacteristic performance from Melbourne who committed an uncharacteristic 16 errors for the game.
Early season rust could be to blame though Storm will not have to wait long to make amends in front of their home crowd with just five days until the Cowboys come to town on Thursday night.
“There were some basic errors out there tonight which was frustrating,” Smith said.
“I think a fair few of those errors came after a little bit of momentum that we had built. We’d build a little bit of momentum and then we’d make an error, we’d get the ball back and we’d do the same.
“We had plenty of opportunities tonight to do things with the footy, we just weren’t good enough.
“That is about consistency, it is about being in the right position at the right time, running with intent and timing of your run. If one player doesn’t do his role properly it puts out the whole team which is what we are lacking at the moment – a bit of cohesion throughout our side.”

We just have no need for 3 props on the bench if Kenny is playing in the middle now as well. Kasiano is either fit enough to play proper minutes + is better than Welch or he goes back to the Q Cup until he's either.

He'll want to pick up his performance from last week.yourhero wrote:From melbournestorm.com.au...

We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately

Storm pack prepare for McLean return

Five months ago Jordan McLean won a Premiership with 16 of his mates.
This Thursday night he will go head-to-head against them, this side on the opposing team for the blockbuster Grand Final rematch.
McLean made the move north in the off-season in order to be closer to his family after five seasons of outstanding service to Melbourne.
After 86 games as part of the Storm pack, his former teammates are well aware of what he brings to the table.
“We are mates off the field but when we get on the field it is getting back down to work,” Tim Glasby said.
“He is a body, we all know that about him and he has got pretty good leg speed for a big fella as well.
“He is a great carrier of the football and is good in defence as well so we’ve got a big job against us.”
The 26-year-old’s return to AAMI Park will be an interesting subplot to a crucial game, with both Storm and the Cowboys holding a 1-1 ledger after the first two round of the season.
The game will likely be won and lost up the middle as two of the NRL’s premiere forward packs go head-to-head.
“They have a fantastic forward pack with Matt Scott, Jordan McLean and Jason Taumalolo,” Glasby said.
“It is going to be a tough game for us, we really need to start well and go on from there. With big Macca and what he adds, he is going to be great for them.”
