I thought Justin Olam left. Interested to see how he goes and glad we kept him.

If we didn’t pick up JAC, Olam probably would have some first grade under his belt. Really good looking player. All he can do is keep smashing it at Q-Cup level and wait for an opportunity.

Jahrome Hughes had a pretty bad injury at the end of last year. Maybe he is still recovering from that.

Shame they couldn't get Jacks and Stimson across for this.

It kinda looked like the boys hadn't played together too much but the longer the game went. the better we played.

How good was Harry Grant!

Not only a good lifesaver but a good hooker in the making.

That's right. But I am assuming they may have trained together before the game though.

Harry Grant looked really good... Ryan Papenhuyzen had a few touches of class as well.

I was very impressed with Drinkwater and Billy Walters. Having never seen them play before it was good to get a look at what some others on this forum have been raving about. Harry Grant also looked like a very handy backup backup rake.
I must say that I wasn't as impressed with Tui Kamikamika as I initially was when he made his debut in first grade.
Justin Olam also found out in defence at centre a couple of times. In particular with the last NZ try when he squared up on his inside shoulder forcing his winger to compress and giving the opposition a heap of open space on the outside.
