Should have played Jessie Browmich and Kevin Proctor.
No, they shouldn't.
Jesse and Kev shouldn't have been dickheads. There's your problem.

After the Red Bull and No-doze/Serapax debacle last year; NZRL deciding to stand JB and KP down for discipline reasons needed to be done to send a lesson to their younger players that no-one is above the rules. It is one of the few good decisions they have made in the last 7 or 8 years.

Hence they didn't make the Semi Finals. What message does that send to the whole of New Zealand who barely care about Rugby league anyway?

All the good work and positive vibe from the winning the World Cup 8 years ago over the ditch has now been destroyed.

Unless NZ manage to steal Wanye Bennett the Kiwis will never win another RLWC

Why? He doesn't look likely to get England one.

Bennett added some grit to the NZ team when he coached them. Yjr knock on NZ is it is a hugely talked side that fluctuates in its form all the time.

When Bennett helped Steve Kearney; he some how added some magic but more than that; he gave them some toughness.

The only way England beats Australia in this World Cup is in a low scoring defensive game; that is why Bennett wasn't too worried about the errors today; England is all about defense and trying to win in a one or two try game v Aussies.

Agree. Short-term sacrifice for a longer term gain. How much more passionate will J Brom and Proctor be when they get their NZ jerseys back? Players need to earn their jerseys and that means with their performances both on and off the field.
