You can pretty much guarantee extra players will be held out then.

Not enough size on the bench for me. Really expected NAS in the side and dissapointed neither he or Kaufusi aren't in it.

i think Hampton is only there as cover for Billy. Welch has the potential to be a future captain. NAS, wonder if the talk of him going back to Union is having any impact?

What talk?

I fully expect him to play instead of Hampton.

So with the Falcons line up, I would assume Munster is going to play (replacing Kennar in the centres) and our bench would be;

Kenny Bromwich
Tim Glasby
Christian Welch
Felise Kaufusi

Only round 1, both young players etc. But I really can't believe NAS and Scott aren't in the team.

NAS was a bit rusty today for the Falcons, so maybe Bellamy knew he needed a week (or so) in reserves. Scott looked good though...

Very exciting to see a nearly full strength line-up. Blair is missing but for the sake of Vic RL I hope Young performs really well and manages to keep his spot for as long as he can.

I'd like to see Melbourne get cap exemptions for bringing local juniors in so we can keep the likes of Fonua et al.
