I reckon what clinched the signing were the photos from Storm Mad Monday celebrations with the boys dressed up as the Spice Girls!
It will be good to have a wise head come into the second row next year, and means that some of the kids won't get thrown in before they are ready

The only thing faster than Billy Slater is the speed at which opposition fans leave Olympic Park after they lose!

Bit harsh, the guy got injured. Can hardly call him an epic failure due to his misfortune. Or is anyone that gets injured for the season a failure?nacho wrote: is MacDougall still with us? talk about an epic failure
i meant the decision to sign him was a failureSurandy wrote:Bit harsh, the guy got injured. Can hardly call him an epic failure due to his misfortune. Or is anyone that gets injured for the season a failure?nacho wrote: is MacDougall still with us? talk about an epic failure

leaguehq.com.auCam is Storm's $2.5m man
Brad Walter | December 10, 2008
STORM captain Cam Smith has agreed to a lucrative new deal that will keep him at the club for the next five years.
Smith - considered Darren Lockyer's heir apparent as Queensland and Australian skipper - will front a press conference in Melbourne today to announce his decision to re-sign until the end of the 2013 season. It is a massive boost to the Storm, who have lost Israel Folau, Michael Crocker, Jeremy Smith, Antonio Kaufusi and Matt Geyer from the side that lost this year's grand final to Manly.
The Kangaroos hooker missed the record 40-0 defeat due to suspension. Smith attracted interest from several clubs, headed by the Titans.
It is understood the deal, thought to be worth more than $2.5 million, includes an upgrade for the final season of his current deal in 2009 and a four-year extension.
