New Away Jersey
Bloody embarrassing. (And made worse by all the big red adds on it - yes I know they pay the bills but it still looks like a billboard). A little bit of lurid purple and a lot of white - where is the "Storm"?
We play League for god's sake, we are not a girl's soccer team.

is not what I want to hear when I'm watching on the telly....and Folau minces over to score in the corner...

You beat me to it TC
Sadly that alternate jersey is little more than a sponsor billboard that pays minor lip service to the fact it is a Melbourne Storm jersey.
I'd hate to think that next seasons home jersey would go the same way
I owe a friend in Wigan a Storm top & told him I'd sent him the new away top
I will NOT be sending THAT

that was supposed to be sarcastic, simply referring to losing the storm identity in the jersey.mrpc wrote:The yellow bolt looked amateurish.samo wrote: red and white, hope the ref dosnt confuse us with st george, why ditch the yellow bolt?
As for St George, we play in purple when they wear their white home strip.
but hey if it wasnt for the sponsors we wouldnt have a team, so i guess we will have to learn to like it

i'm a little disappointed. The pic in the membership brochure looked awesome, but those photos make it look ordinary. Will have to see it in reality, but my plan to buy the away jersey this year may have changed!
I have no issues with the sponsors, all clubs have them, and i'd rather them than no team to wear a jersey!

Its too plain has no real storm identity & looks shocking but at least its an away & not a home we have to put up with.
Its probably like their survey of storm man done by a company who dosen't bother to ask the supporters.

I was reserving judgement until i saw it.
It's BLOODY AWFUL!!!! I'm so disappointed. Where's the purple, the blue, the yellow?? I guess they didn't think that the fancy pants purple down the side seam thing would disappear when worn by real players who have big chests.
And the big red ads...... Yes I know we need the sponsors and I'm grateful but really some effort could have been made to not make it look cheap and nasty. I really don't like the big red rectangle.
I shall stick to my old canterbury away jersey.
very disappointing Reebok........

I'm not wearing that, Sorry Storm!
I liked what i saw in the membership booklet, the medibank logo was smaller and the tiger stripes were more pronounced.
It's better than last years though. Miles better. And on the bright side, it's not STAG like was suggested late last year...

I really have to say that the only way that Boofa played at that kick from Orford was if he cracked a fat.

Nope, the new jersey is worse. And what makes it even more dreadful is the pink hot-pants they're wearing with it.Super Cronk wrote: whats everyone cracking the shits over? our away jersey for the past year (maybe two???) has been an ALL white jersey...I know most hated that one...but this isnt any worse sheezh.
Next thing you know MG will be shaving his chest, Whitey will start calling himself [deepvoice] "AMANDA" [/deepvoice] and Mick Crocker will be wearing leathers and a porn star mustache, and heading north for Mardi Gras. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

They should've put that big red S at the front and keep blue as background color.
red pants and blue socks to match too!

Thought about this yesterday. Think Reebok sat down drew a pretty picture on a flat piece of paper and it looked alright. Forgot that due to the chest size and girth of a rugby player would hide all that lovely purple side stripe stuff - and that's why Storm supporters should rule the world...... (cos we're the best and would have thought of these things)I liked what i saw in the membership booklet, the medibank logo was smaller and the tiger stripes were more pronounced.
