Staggered at some of the comments on here about Hoffman
Don't worry - Hoffy has lots of loyal fans back home ;)
It's just that his last two seasons at Storm saw what many perceived as a career ending downturn in form.Don't know how many on here have actually WATCHED his performances at Wigan ? I know many Wigan fans didn't see his full worth until his partnership with Finchy started to gel again.I'm sure even the serious doubters will come around when they see the return of form.

Here's to a glorious exit from Wigan & a great homecoming.

Wonder if we can get him to continue.......................
Hoff the Record

I agree with most of the comment here about Hoffman. He was a great player, but he did loose his form in the last couple of years. But I do no think any of the matters.

When this man cuts himself he bleeds purple. A player who has that much passion for Storm and pride in the jumper has to be good for us.

I dont think his from changed a as such. His style just became predictable and he didnt have the tools i.e. footwork, athleticism, etc to overcome.

Cannot, I repeat, cannot be an edge backrower, has to play tight and plug holes. Where this leaves Hinchy I dont know

Great news that The Hoff is on his way back home, I am more than happy. He was superb when we were firing, wasn't as good last year but that is understandable given we were playing for no points. He has a huge passion for the club and that is only good! By all reports he has been going great guns over in the Super League this year for Wigan. Welcome home Hoffy!

He's obviously still capable and hopefully Bellamy comes up with something different for him.
Dont forget his father Jay was very close with Bellamy and Bellyache probably sees alot of him in Ryan.
I bagged Hoffy a fair bit towards the end but I really do hope he plays well in his return.

It's a bad move Bellamy. Better get Finch back too, he is the only bloke that can guide him around the park.

Bring back Ben Cross.

Really? Then how come he had his best seasons when Finch WASN"T at the club...maybe someone should "Show you howe" to watch some games lol...Also great call on Finch becasue Widdop is so crap..maybe we should get rid of Slater and Duffie and bring back Langi and Moala?

:sign5: You should socialise more.
Can't see Hoff having a 'guidance' problem with Cooper or Gareth.
Finchy ? Seems to be hitting top form & having fun. Will stay at Wigan.
Ben - Heading to Widnes in 2012.

Wow - flashbacks  Don't know if the poster "greensloper" is still around but they posted this on rleague.com in April 2004.
Fifita has been with this club for ages. He certainly deserves another chance and I can't understand how he isn't there ahead of Webster, and Cronk given the recent injuries
:o

And Junior AFAIK - Retired from the sport in December 2006 due to an eye condition and returned home.

He reached his peak in 06 with a ballplaying Scott Hill alongside then started to decline. Had good moments with Finch inside him ( ) him but was still just average over-all.

Widdop isnt the ballplayer Finch is as yet, thats the point Show em How was making. Sure Widdop has plenty of try assists but theyve come off breaks he's made. Can Hoffman fit in with that style of 6 e.g. GI was a running 6 as well, Hoffman didnt really gel with him either.

Please Scriptyx, your a good Storm fan but dont sound like you want to cry just becasue someone posts a reasonble query.
