Knocked backwards but Munster dragged it forward into his own body when collecting.
That makes sense I heard him say dragged back into his body and I thought he meant Coates in the air and thought that didn't make sense.

Could we have made more errors tonight?

Utterly dreadful.

Some defensive grit to keep the score down. That was the only positive. Discipline and ball control awful.

Many will knock Meaney and he’s no Paps but we missed him tonight. Just a solid FB.

Keep Cam away from 1. He’s far better suited to 6 and kept mainly to the left. Defensively it helps too.

Be interesting to see if Tui and Loreiro get some enforced rest time…

That was an awful watch on so many levels.

It’s hard to illustrate how much harder we make it for ourselves by constantly being forced to work it out of our own goal line. The forward pack tries but goes nowhere, the outside backs aren’t helping much and when we get to the last we’re passing it back 10m to kick it 40m and we do it all over again. Even if we’re in good field position we’re too tired to do any positive with the ball.

The whole Melbourne Storm had a stinker.

I strongly dislike Manly...... and that DCE flop was disgusting - especially when his shoulder miraculously healed the moment he got a penalty and a player sent to the sin bin for his theatrics. This is the new thing that will be coached into players (not that it's new....just it's far more effective these days) Mitch Moses is already quite good at it, all you have to do is react to a player touching you after passing or kicking the ball and you'll be almost guaranteed a result in your favour - just have to be convincing enough. But the carry on that DCE went through in order to get a decision should have had him sitting on the side line for ten minutes to make sure he was alright too. It shouldn't be limited to a head knock, if you milk a penalty (especially one resulting in a sin bin), you should go to the doctor to be checked out. The joke had always been that people would just watch some Soccer if they wanted to see players taking a dive - the sad reality is that League is no better in that regard these days.

Anyway, rant over.

Thought Tom Eisenuth played pretty good, he's deceptively hard to tackle but would presume based on his old age he has done a groin or similar.

In 20 odd minutes he made more meters than majority of our fwd pack

No, we just got suckered into the standard Manly grub-it-up gameplan. They drag us down to their level then beat us with experience.

Oh, and take the kicking (including goal line dropouts) off Munster.

Didn't deserve to win that one, lucky for us we didn't get pumped by more imo. Moving Munster to fullback wasn't a good move, barely got touch on the footy & didn't have his usual impact. Feel like the ref missed some big calls our way too. Luckily we've got a long turn around before ANZAC Day, we're gonna have to step it up big time or the Warriors are gonna punish us.

Looking forward to watching Bellyache's press conference this week. I bet you he won't be happy with the crap we dished up tonight!

Oh dear. That was a mess. Meaney becomes quite important to our structure.

Tom is a very important player for us. Does all the little things. There is no surprise that we started winning games when he returned to the team. Alas he may be looking at another stint on the sidelines with injury.

He certainly is. He’s no Paps but he’s a very good NRL FB.

Meaney 1 and Munny running the left with some licence to roam suits us best
