So who are we going to sign, we have a fair bit of cash to spend. I wouldn't be surprised if we attempt to sign James Roberts now that the Rabbits have been forced to let him go. I still have my eyes on potentially luring Johnathan Wright to the club. We'll probably also make a move for some of the Warriors that are coming off-contract - Omar, Packer or Ta'ai. Could be a chance of getting Crocker or Jeremy Smith back too?

Does anyone know how many free spots we have available? And also around how much would we have to offer?

I borrowed this list from zerotackle showing who is off contract and looking for a new home next year

I think we`ve got some really good talent coming through in a number of positions but personally I`d love to see us sign someone like Russell Packer for the forwards. :-D

Despite being re-signed by Wayne Bennett himself, New Zealand international Junior Sa'u won't be at Newcastle next year. Melbourne are one of several NRL clubs interested in the out-of-favour centre.
Hope we are not after him.

Lowrie, who missed last weekend's 26-18 loss to St George Illawarra with an elbow injury, is keen to remain in Melbourne. ''I'd love to stay, of course I would,'' he said. ''It's a great city and it's a great club. There's been a lot of proven success here.''

Storm football operations manager Frank Ponissi said there was a ''realistic chance'' Lowrie could be re-signed.
I hope we just let Lowrie go.

Now I would be concerned about the direction we are heading if we re-signed Lowrie

I continue to hear loud whispers that Junior Sau will be coming to the club in 2013. His attack is strong however the jury is still out on his defense. Not sure about him.

With Chambers and O'Neill in the centres next year and Fonua playing back up i dont really see the point, he will be signing essentially to play nsw cup

I couldn't care less whether we sign him or anyone else but you need depth in all positions and just having Chambers, O'Neill and Fonua won't be enough. Of course it is if they all stay injury free but unfortunately Justin is far from that and can Will's condition be guaranteed to be managed even with constant treatment? First and foremost we clearly need more depth in the forwards for next year but it certainly doesn't hurt to also stock up elsewhere at the right price.

As we've seen the last last 5 weeks (before last night) that not all players stay in form and it's only healthy to have several blokes fighting it out for all positions. If we can get him at the right price i say get him because he can be very damaging, but at the same time if we have to pay overs then i'm more than happy to look somewhere else.
