That is awesome news. Walker won Qld Cup player of year after missing first eight rounds. We definitely needed a half with us losing Gaz, Finchy, McGahan and Blair. Good work Storm and good luck to Cody.

I remember wanting Luke Kelly as 5/8th all offseason Thought he was a Cronk clone.

Signing walker does make the vacant position very intriguing though, but I still think Hampton will get first crack.

Good to see relationship with Easts Tigers starting to bear fruit for both sides. Easts Tigers in the Qld Cup finals this year. Christian Welch in our NYC team this year and now Cody Walker in our first grade squad.

I wouldn't be adverse to Walker getting first crack at 6 next year. My only concern about him is looks a bit slow but plenty of skill.

Give Hampton another year to fill out.

This article says it's a two year contract outside the Top 25. I would say its a two year deal with a team option for the second year.

Walker also signed a two-year contract on Monday with the Melbourne Storm in the NRL.

Yea If it were a top 25 contract I'm sure we would have heard about it from the Storm side. I'm not sure if they've even acknowledged it at all.

Walker will be apart of the full time squad. So that's top 25 contract I'd imagine ?

And Garbutt has re-signed for 2 more years. Great news.

there was talk this week that garbutt had agreed to a 2 year contract with knights where did u see he resigned..

i should rephrase that, there was news out of knights that they signed a big young forward from storm and everyone is assuming its garbutt..
