They should show it live, there is no afl to compete with.
I'm going to ring and be nice, last time I did that I was put thru to 9 in Sydney by mistake, politely asked for more live r/l in Melb. and then was switched back to 9 in
Melbourne and asked for the same thing :D

Mate, with the time difference it was never going to be live in NSW. As Qld don't have daylight saving the game kicks off at 8:30pm AEDT which is 7:30pm Qld time.

Hey guys, checked the Channel Nine website tv guide, and after customising the page for us Melbournians, I've discovered the following:

7.30pm - Rabbitohs vs Eels *LIVE*
9.30pm - Storm vs Broncos

Better than 11.45!

Same goes for Sydney viewing also...

Hmm, that's strange scheduling, I had figured if they were going to show Storm before 11:45pm that they would have shown out game at 8:30pm or 9:30pm and then the Rabbitohs vs Eels game afterwards.

Anyways, still better than 11:45pm.

You have somehow got that wrong, no way in the world is that going to happen, that will be Sydneys viewing.
Initially, the website did display Sydney's viewing... until I changed the postcode to 3000 (Melbourne obviously), and the viewing was as listed above.

Well that wasn't hard!

I just called channel 9 and programming confirmed that it is most definitely on live into Melbourne at 8:30pm!

No not hard at all I got 7.30 bunnies game and 9.30 storm game with postcode 3000and up the top for Friday night it shows

I think you'll find that CH9 site is a bit generic  :? You'll the same result if you 'customise' for HOBART,etc.

No way the Bunnies game will be shown before the Storm's game.
Here in Brisbane round one was shown at 9:30 and I know I wasn't too happy about it. 
But watching it at 9:30 is probably seen as a privilege in Melbourne.
I guess we are luckier than most.
