That just put storm into outright 3rd. Last week was a bloody awful showing, but it wasn't a reflection of our season to date.
There's still plenty of room for Improvement, so really, considering the players and experience lost, the team can still give the premiership a good shot if they can continue to build

Loved how direct the attack was.
Hughes really hit the line at speed and passed right on contact causing all sorts of problems.
The forwards were excellent in contact - ran hard and straight.
Can’t think of a single player who had a bad game.

Think that was Welch's best game this season. Tui started well too. Big stint by NAS, mainly in second row.
Thought Tariq and Tom were great off the bench. Coates' hands were good, although there was a little bobble when he scored from the bomb.
A number of good offloads as opposed to silly ones from NAS twenty out from own line against Rabbitohs a few weeks back.
Seve was solid until he went off.
May need to make 5 or 6 changes for next week though - Munster and Grant (Origin), Welch (Origin or suspension), Smith (hamstring - from what Craig said at presser - maybe just a twinge - but can't see us risking him on 6 day break), Katoa (eye - gone to hospital according to Craig - they don't think it is too serious) and Seve (HIA).
Would assume Olam will come back, Pezet for Munster, Wishart at 9 Garlick onto bench, Pene or Grant to replace Welch, Tonumaipea or Anderson if both centres are out, other of Pene or Grant to replace Katoa with Tom at 12 or maybe Lewis back or Chan.

Terrific win. Even when Souths and Broncos byes catch up the top 4 chances look good.
Must build on that…
Forwards very solid and laid a Great platform.
Not a bad player on the Storm team…top job

As good as we were I think it must be balanced by how,
A; Appalling the Sharks were
and
B; Nothing went their way (The Sharks). Pretty much the same as we played last week against the Cowboys.
Was B a result of A or viceversa?
With our ins and outs and even though they're 16th, Wests at Campbelltown will be a stern test next week.
I'll temper my enthusiasm for now...
So next week:
1.Meaney
2.Warbrick

Seve did his job well. Fwds gave everyone a leg up….as was essential for the team to succeed. But Seve was a good defensive in for Anderson.
Remember this day, men, for it will be yours for all time
great effort from the boys. more important than the points scored was that we actually looked organised in defence.
If Sims can use this as a springboard to playing well every week it will be such a bonus - guy was playing origin not that long ago.

Mattpoet we both forgot Alec MacDonald, who played Queensland Cup on the weekend.Mattpoet wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2023 8:51 pm So next week:
