Was this the Storm's Best Ever Year as an Organisation?
The question needs to be asked, was this the best ever year for the Storm Organisation?
We won the Premiership, Minor Premiership and the Sunshine Coast Lightning won the netball premiership
Sunshine Coast Falcons made the Q Cup Grand Final
Easts Tigers also made the finals
A new membership record was set
23 players were selected in rep teams:
Addo-Carr (City), Asofa-Solomona (NZ), Blair (Country), J.Bromwich (NZ - mid year test only), K.Bromwich (NZ), Chambers (Qld, Aus), Croft (Junior Kangaroos), Cronk (Qld, Aus), Finucane (Country), Glasby (Qld), Hughes (Qld Residents), Kamikamica (Fiji), Kaufusi (Tonga, Aus), McLean (Country, Aus), Munster (Qld, Aus), Olam (PNG), Scott (Junior Kangaroos), Slater (Qld, Aus), B.Smith (NZ - mid year test squad only), Cam Smith (Qld, Aus), Stimson (Country - 18th man only), Tonumaipea (Samoa) and Vunivalu (Fiji)

I know it was dodgy, but in 2009 we won the NRL premiership (becoming the first club in 20 years to make it to 4 consecutive grand finals) and the holden cup premiership... but I don't think it quite compares to 2017...

At the time 2007 was an amazing season. The team lost only 3 games, had a bigger points differential than this year, and won all 3 finals easily. So I think that team was the best we have ever had. However , given the age of the big 3, the farewell for Cooper, the comeback of Billy, the records of Cameron, the membership growth , the depth as shown in rep selection and also the great efforts of the feeder teams, for the Organisation this was the best season ever.
