I think the winner of Roosters vs. Broncos will be the premier but I'm the eternal pessimist when it comes to Melbourne in prelim and grand finals.

Is there such a thing as a good ref combo in the NRL? We've had Cummins in the last game against the Cows and we won the count 7-5 and also against the Roosters which we won 5-4, albeit both times he was partnering with Shortall. Could've been worse and copped Maxwell, we lost the count 2-8 against the Broncos in the last round.

Welch and Weston (who knows why) are added to an extended bench.

I would rather have the other two refs Badger/Sutton

We avoided Maxwell which I'm happy with.

Exactly. Given he's not in the 4 refs for these 2 games it looks like he's out of the picture for the big dance which can only be a good thing if we make it through.

Regardless of the result this week I could not be more proud. A lot of people, even on this forum, had us struggling to make the Top 8 mid way through the season so to get this far is an over achievement. I'm not confident that we will beat the Cowboys but if it happens it will be a well deserved reward for hard work

I am assuming solely as cover for Glasby and Maclean after injury scares last game

Just saw the footage of Marika running on the news. Doesn't look good :-\

Surely Mahe should replace Koroibete, but apparently Young T will. Mahe has played in a prelim and played well.
But i hope they give Marika till game day.

I think a Mahe/Mann combo would be terrible defensively. I'd rather put Tohu in the centres and move Mann to the wing.

Listening and reading to all non Melbourne media this week, I have come to the conclusion that there are two games of NRL this weekend. Broncos v Roosters in Brisbane and Cowboys v some other team and they are playing away. What will they do if we win, most likely say we are cheats.

Hopefully the reports on mk5 are just smoke and mirrors...
