I agree Fonua will need a few weeks in NSW Cup to get his form back up.
I still think Widdop will keep his spot though. As much as I would like to see Finchy wearing the 6 jersey, I think Bellyache will keep Gareth there.

After Blair played probably his best game for us against Manly, I reckon he should be retained in the centres. Here is what I reckon 2-5 should look like:
2. Sisa Waqa
3. Will Chambers (Junior Sa'u if Will is not fit to play)
4. Maurice Blair
5. Justin O'Neill

Widdop was better last night in parts, but still not great by any means. The sign of a half down in confidence for me is running too lateral. He's not straightening at all in attack and is cramping his centre and winger out of the game in attack.
How about the selfishness with his attack last night he had the option to pass it to Fanua who was open as a cow in an open field and decided to run it himself into 3 Manly players, that try would of put us in front and potentially win us the game.steaming stormer wrote:Widdop was better last night in parts, but still not great by any means. I think no matter what, Widdop will stay in the team for now. But if Finchy has a couple of big games during the origin period (we have 2 games this year without the big 3 - thanks NRL) I expect Bellamy will have to select him in the full strength side.
On this match I don't expect much changes. Although Fonua out if Chambers is fit and I'd like to see Vave come back into the side.

well with our nsw & qld cup teams both having byes this weekend there might still be changes I think..Go Storm wrote:I wonder why Vave's not listed. He looked good for Sharks on weekend. So did Finch, Weston and McClean for that matter
Exactly. Name the 17 that ran out this week and we will decide during the week who is best placed to really take the field.blazza18 wrote:It's pretty much a copy and paste effort these days.
Particularly after a Monday night game. By 2pm Tuesday you don't even know who has pulled up sore.
