It comes back to LOYALTY though doesn't it,or should I say the lack of it where New Zealanders are concerned,I think to play for ANY country,the criterea should be that you were actually born in that Country,this would take away any more of this from happening and where your parents or grandparents were born shouldn't enter into it either,they are just loop holes they find when a player wants their own way. halfback or five eigth and probably couldnt play anywhere else,especially
hooker due to his height of 6"2
Either leave Cronk on the bench and give DCE the 7 or take another Forward along

What drugs are the Australian selectors on?
Seriously!
Why do they persist with picking Hodges, Gallen & Watmough, there are way better players than these clowns!
Given the performance of the selectors I'm surprised they didn't pick Gidley. FMD!

Gidley has been injured otherwise he would have got DCE's spot on the bench. Speaking of DCE did he even get a run because if he did he didn't touch the ball. Surandy I don't agree with you re: the other guys I would definitely have Hodges and Gallen in my team and am happy enough for Watmough to come off the bench. Who would you pick ahead of these guys? For example do you think Willie Tonga or someone else should be picked ahead of Hodges?

I havent seen enough of Hodges or Watmough this year to comment but Gallen has been just about the number 1 forward in the NRL over the first seven rounds and is largely the reason Cronulla are sitting third. As for Gallen, well he is the best forward in the comp right now. The guy is just a no thrills workhorse who will always give you 80 minutes of top notch footy. For every Slater and Inglis you need a guy like Gallen.

No gee up, there were a few times last night where Hodges could've passed the ball but didn't. Watmough? The only thing good about him is when he stuffs up, he gets this stupid look on his face as if to say "who? me?" funny thing is he seriously seems like he thinks he did nothing wrong.
Gallen has too much niggle in his game so there's always a high risk of penalties when he's involved.
Looking at the performances of the cockroaches in the squad there is no doubt why Queensland are dominating SOO.

Get your hand of it...seriously!
I don't like Paul Gallen...but he's easily one of the best forwards in the last ten years. He's absolutely dominating this year. There's no disputing this fact and I can only assume you're so blinded by dislike for Gallen you can't see the bloody obvious.
As for Watmough...again I hate him but hes probably only there because Glen Stewart is out. However he is world class back rower even if I hate his guts.
Hodges is getting on but you have to pick him for his aggression and his ability to break tackles.
I'd ask you who you would have picked instead?
These guys are big, aggressive and play hard footy. And are ideally suited for rep footy.
I love to hate these guys but seriously any genuine footy fan can see they pick themselves.

agree the eligibility issue bites the big one, we may as well line the best 34 players up, pick 2 captains and let them take it in turns to pick their mates like you did back in the school yard, those teams were more constant than some of these rep sides anyway
