Well Finch and Hoffman is like adding another good combo to the side.
At times, Hoffy can make defenses look ordinary.
Lima at his best is a top front rower. Very disciplined and very hard working.
Great locker room value too.
Finch is a great right-hand man. Can play organised and off the top of his head.
"Better to have Won then Lost, than to have never won at all" Arrogant, but true hahahaha

:-k I think your 'subtle humour' will be lost on most of the regular posters, since they wouldn't know the history behind the Wigan nickname 'pie eaters'.  ;D

Not to worry - Take a look at Wiganworld  :P
Soon to be home to a large portion of the Northern Storm Image

Wigan through to the GF  :D

It is amazing the difference a good coach and assistants makes. No new players but a totally different team. Stuff the cap saga, Melbourne was / is about working your behind off and preparing to win. Madge has improved every player in the squad. We can only get better with our 3 new signings from Melbourne.

Long way to go yet & the team,(and the fans) must learn from the arrogance of history & the recent arrogance of Leeds/Saints.
Unity & commitment are a great building blocks for a new dynasty  ;-)

REALLY glad I don't follow AFL ! as the coming weekend 'Grand Final athon' would do my head in

BTW : Good Luck to Oldham & Featherstone in their respective GF's tomorrow  =D>

Oldham 4 - 25 York City
Ouch - sorry Bri

Featherstone 22 - 23 Halifax (in extra time).
To misquote the Duke of Wellington...............

'twas a damn close run thing !

My FEV following mate would be saddened by that result, but would have enjoyed the game itself.

My FEV following mate would be crying in his pint of bitter and will have his whippet comforting him.But would have been devestated that they threw a 20-4 lead away and the MIGHTY FAX CAME FLYING THROUGH.

Those boys will transform a good team into a great team - especially Finchy.

Oh yes...

Oh ali ali..... ali ali ali ali.... Halifax......
Great win for the boys in blue and white. Very proud of the team.

At least Jim and I have something to cheer about this year on the rugby field.
