Looks like a lot of Kiwis lol.
Proctor could be pushing for a regular spot next year. I think he should cut his hair.

As I said in another topic/thread, I have been hanging out for Sione to play first grade and he didn't let me down. A bit of a dilemma for the selectors this week with both Norrie and White due back. Norrie has been our best / most consistent forward all year, so he will come back into the side and you would think White would too. The way Kite played surely you can't drop him and Lima had a rest last week so who drops out to make way for Norrie and White?

Must say I've been really inpressed with Stanley also when he has played, Looks pretty good in both defence and attack, probably a better centre then nielson so the pairing on that wing looks good (Duffie???).
just my opinions......critique them, don't criticise me!!!

Croker carved Stanley up and I thought Nielsen bailed him out a few times. Its why Chase was rested a few weeks ago, his reads in the Stroms defensive system still need work.

I know Neilsen saved him a few times, but that's kind of why I thought it worked as a pairing... having said that, against a decent attack it may not have worked as well

I agree, Stantley has been another great find for the Storm, however Neilson is having a great season, possibly even our best player this year, I wouldn't say Stanley is better, but in a couple of years under the Storm I'm 'SURE' he'll be right up there in the echelon of great centres in our game.

IT HAS been a frustrating year for Melbourne Storm's off-season recruit Sione Kite. Being new to the team, he has not been as heavily hit with the devastation inflicted on his teammates when they were stripped of two premierships as part of the NRL-imposed penalties for the club's salary cap rorting.

But he has had injury problems, including recovering from a shoulder reconstruction and an ankle injury, which, until last weekend, had limited his time on the field to the NSW Cup team.

The 22-year-old prop's first appearance for the Storm, in which he made 89 metres from 10 runs in 28 minutes against Canberra, included some bulldozing carries and was singled out for praise by coach Craig Bellamy after the 36-12 win.

Kite, who was recruited from the Bulldogs, said he had been frustrated by the injuries that marred the beginning of his season but weekly get-togethers with teammates such as Jeff Lima, Adam Blair and Sika Manu had helped keep him on track.

''A few of the older Islander boys helped me out in just telling me to hold my head up and I'd get a chance,'' Kite said.

''Most of all it was pretty frustrating with my injuries and trying to overcome that so I could start playing first of all, and [they] just helped me out with my rehab and off field … we would have gatherings and stuff just once a week and talk about our footy and stuff.''

Known as John when at Canterbury last year Kite chose to revert to his traditional Tongan first name, which is used by his family and friends, within league circles as a way of marking a new leaf in his career.

He said he had learnt a lot from the likes of Brett White, who was ''the number-one wrestler in the club'' and the damaging ball-runner Blair who ''gave me points on finding holes'' in the defence. Kite said he wanted to play out the season in first grade but, with the Storm continuing its rotation police for Saturday's game against Manly, the solidly built prop dropped to 19th man to make way for the return of representative front-rowers White and Lima. Chase Stanley was named as the replacement for winger Justin O'Neill, who received a bad cork last weekend.

Manly has named full-back Ben Farrar, despite him suffering a knee injury in Monday night's disappointing 32-14 loss to Newcastle.

Meanwhile, the Storm players enjoyed a traditional Polynesian Maori hangi last Monday as part of a cultural awareness day.

A hangi is traditional method of cooking food using heated rocks buried in a pit. Assistant coach Steve Kearney led the cooking.

''It was massive,'' Kite said. ''There was heaps of fat and it was greasy [but] it was tasty. It was a great day.''

Storm back-rower Hep Cahill spoke about the significance of a hangi to his Maori culture and a prayer was said for the food that was to be eaten. The players also listened to speeches about indigenous cultures.

''Our club is pretty diverse, we've got a few Aboriginal kids and Islander boys and it's just more to show the Aussie guys in our team what we come through and how we run our culture and … just shared some stories,'' Kite said.

I'm just picturing Lima digging a big hole at Aami stadium with Kearney supervising
