What are the chances of rocking up on the day and getting a free ticket?
I heard on a sydney radio station that on the first day when the tickets were open to storm members that nearly 6000 tickets were sold and that was just the first day of sales

All of Level 3 will be General Admission for the game. That means it will be first in-best dressed. The fans that paid $35 or $45 to sit there for the Manly game got ripped-off. Only levels 1 and 2 are resreved seating.

Doesn’t even look like we will break the 25,000 barrier.. That’s really disappointing
“THE NRL faces the prospect of a half-empty Etihad Stadium with slow ticket sales for Saturday night's game.
Only 18,000 tickets have been sold.Last night, NRL chief operating officer Graham Annesley said the league would have preferred to have played the game tomorrow night."We wanted the Friday night on AFL Grand Final eve but Etihad Stadium was already booked for the VFL grand final," he said.”

The message is NOT getting to the average punter
A customer asked me today how I thought Storm would go on FRIDAY night

Not sure we can compare 2007 / 2009 - Has there ever been a direct face off against the AFL Grand Final,(Not to mention a perversely hostile FTA broadcaster )
Just did a bit of searching on this forum and on the Tuesday before the 2007 prelim we were sitting at:
Edit: By the Thursday before the 2007 prelim 24k tickets had been sold and the Storm were expecting another 2k of pre-sales with a walkup of 6k to 7k.
That compares to Tuesday before the 2009 prelim:nacho wrote:'More than 20,000 tickets have already been snapped up for the first NRL game at the AFL venue since 2001."
It's hard to gauge what sort of a walk up crowd we'll get. So could be as low as 30k but it's possible it could be much, much more.CooperCronk wrote:Heard on SEN Storm Hr.tonight that just under 20,000 tickets have been sold.
