I don't think we came to compete - simple as that !

When we needed calm & discipline to carry the day what we got was Panic & stupid plays backed up by possibly our worst kicking of the season by just about everyone that kicked.

I think the whole team needs to say sorry to DJ,(the only person who brought his usual commitment to the game)

Saddened by the really nasty injury to Sika

Wonder if the judiciary will can Soward for lashing out with the boot - or will he be a 'protected species ?

We couldnt wrap the ball up and that left side with Inglis and Tomane really pissed me off. Inglis doesnt show enough urgency in defense and Tomane, well this guys confidence is too easily shot.
Johnson by far was our best, I thought Finch and Slater wasnt too bad.
Why did Smith stop running out of dummy half? We looked really good when he did. One of those sets the dragons went 100 metres to score!
Anyway, very frustrating but this same time last year we beat Manly at brookie and smashed the roosters the following week.

Our away record is simply atrocious.
Yet to watch the game but saw some highlights on fox.

Did Manu break his leg, heard a snap on tv...sounded terrible.
Huge loss for us.

Apparently he has broken his leg in 2 places as quoted on Fox League website.  Not good news at all

Just got home from the match ....

Can someone please tell me, why we persist with our 5th tackle ploy of launching the high ball?  :banghead:

IMO, we put no pressure on the opposition because our kick chase is non existent and I honestly can't remember the last try we scored from a high ball.

We might as well just hand the ball over on the 5th

Was a good test tonight, we tried hard and played pretty good.

Dragons are just a far better team at the moment and handled us pretty well for most of tonights game....its a shame cause i dunno if we get a whole lot better then what we did tonight. We are really playing with very little luck aswell...just the bounce of the ball or a 50/50 calls.

Too much of this put up the bomb and hope for the best...we are not the Roosters ffs...we actually have talent to spread the ball....no idea whats the point of kicking to Wendell's wing in particular, all night he will take them blindfolded.

Dragons were just playing with Tomane and his defence, the kid still got work to do but i liked what he did with the ball in hand. How his try early in the second half was called no try is beyond me but im not going to go into that cause im just over trying to guess what the video refs actually do in that box?

Chambers still gets more ball then Inglis which i still can't understand why we don't go to our most dangerous weapon enough...get him early ball and let him do what he does! Chambers gets so much great early ball

Turner shouldn't have played tonight, simple as that....burned by Morris and run down easy by Creagh...he tried hard tonight but if your not 100% you shouldnt be out there.

Overall the Dragons are a very very good team and have just shut up anyone who questioned what they will actually do when the finals start, they are a very tough team and look like a team ready for finals footy already. As i said we were not horrible tonight and they still dealt with us very well.

Poor Sika though, been in such great form and now this...shocking stuff :(

Reasons we lost and possible reasons we wont win the comp this year: (and no im not going into doom and gloom mode. im being realistic...the way we have performed this year is not upto scratch.

Scott Anderson: enough said.

Will Chambers: see above.

Defence: You can throw all the stats at me you like on this next point but you are wrong no matter what...our defence is shithouse. The amount of times we have failed to tackle a player and to have that player off-load to another, and then that player off-loads etc etc etc is a joke. Our goal line defence is good from time to time...but our missed tackles are far to much inbetween the 20 metre lines.

Im so frustrated that players that are not upto first grade standard are being picked in favour of good juniors who are doing awesome at junior levels.

Also can someone please teach billy slater how to pass a ball?...his passes found the ground before they got to the player and his second phase passes are waaaay to predictable.

Cronk's kicking game (game in genreal) is really lacking...could this be due to matty johns absence???

....i dont know anymore...its the same issues everyweek and they arent being fixed. what can ya do? :(

And that sucks if Sika has a broken ankle...our best player all year  :( :( :(

We had the usual stupid play in us...but i think this was one of our better performances of late....atleast on the road where we have really struggled. We were up for tonights game but unfortantly the Dragons are a better team right now

my issue is we arent learning. Giving away penalties with the dragons coming out of their own 10 metres is killing us this year. The silly mistakes from Anderson still continue. The "lets boot the ball in the air and hope for the best" is still there. chambers and anderson are still there....We played OK, but we need to play 100% better to beat dragons, doggies and titans come finals time.

Maybe Inglis should switch sides during the game? The amount of times Chambers could have passed and should have but didnt were countless! He just doesnt! And when he finally looks like passing he kicks!!!!!
It seems teams who execute well with their second man plays always score in the corners.

We played a lot better tonight but still our attack just seems to run out of ideas. I also agree that we let teams offload a lot more then they should. We lost the game through Tomane's poor reads and giving away stupid penalties. Our completion rate was a lot better tonight but still not up with the Dragons.

It doesn't seem we have the potency to win the comp and losing Sika is a massive blow. Yet there's still hope that we could go on a run during the finals. I probably won't watch much league this week due to being disappointed with the result  :x.

If we can win 4 out of the remaining 5 that should ensure us a top 4 berth. Going through the games we should comfortably beat the Roosters and Warriors. Whilst i'd fancy us to beat the Cowboys at home aswell. That leaves us needing one win against the Knights and Manly which will be tough yet very possible. Lets not lose all hope. We beat Manly this time last year and then got destroyed in the GF. Finals football is when it matters and we've been on the receiving end of September over two of the last three years when we've been the favourites and then lost the GF. What's obvious to see from tonight is that we can still challenge the best teams, if that Tomane try is given we could have won.

We still have Blair and Hoffman to come back in. I think we still have hope, i mean we were up against the best last night and held our own though holding our own won't cut it when we get to the finals.

If we fire we should beat the Cowboys, Roosters, Warriors and i think we will take care of Manly. The game in Newcastle is the one im worried about.
