Re: The question I never thought I'd ask:
timing is a funny thing. I wonder if Ben Hampton was Cam Munster's age and vice versa if we'd be having the same conversations about him and Billy in the FB position. I remember Ben had a couple of great games filling in at FB years ago but was forced to develop as a half because that's what we need...

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news
Given how good Glasby is going at the moment (and for less coin than AT would be on) I wouldn't want to mess up our front row roster too much. NAS and Felise are also developing nicely and would really benefit from extra time in first grade.

Re: Round 24: Storm vs Knights
Very happy with how Glasby is going. Does a lot of good things without getting much recognition. Finucane will be a loss but I'm pretty confident we'll be well served with Hinchcliffe and K Bromwich. Looking forward to NAS coming back in also. No one rates the Knights at this time of year which is p...

Re: The question I never thought I'd ask:
No, I don't think so. Remember that Eddie is running the lines and playing the role that Billy created. He's bigger and probably stronger than Bill is now, never mind then, and faster over the 100 (although at the same age Billy was quicker off the mark). Just watch some video of 2003 and see the s...

Re: Round 23: Storm @ Cronulla
Excellent defensive work by Mann. He rushed up and wrapped up the ball carrier really well. Copy-and-paste from last week: Cam Munster was brilliant! I love how tough he is for such a small bloke. I would have no issue playing him in centres next year when Billy gets back. My top highlight (apart fr...

Hope Bellyache sticks with this and doesn't push Tohu into the centres.

Re: Kevin Proctor 150
Congrats KP! Good news story for someone who came up through the Storm NYC system. Isn't the flashiest player but runs great lines and does lots of the little things right. Hopefully he grows to take on a leadership role along with some of our younger forwards coming through the ranks.

Someone please tell me we get Jordy is ahead of rehab schedule and will be back for the next game given we'll be missing NAS.

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news
Pretty happy with our forward pack stock TBH. Would rather use $$ available to upgrade current contracts for some of our young guns (Munster, NAS, Welch) when the time comes. I guess we need to sign someone though or else we'd fall short of fielding a full squad.

Re: Round 22 - Storm vs Titans
Couldn't be happier with Duffman grabbing a couple of meat pies. The look on his face and his team mates as they came to congratulate him was gold! Tohu was so much more effective playing in SR. Not a huge fan of Kurt, but thought he did a decent job in that game esp defending Roberts. We can't affo...

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news
Agree with Munster needing to be in the FG squad. While he isn't the ideal size for a centre, he definitely punches above his weight and has made some great one-on-one tackles as FB. He definitely has the mindset for first grade and could only get better with the experience. Maybe we need to think a...

Lafai re-signed with the bulldogs for 3 years last year. I doubt they would release him based on current form.bula wrote:Apparently Tim Lafai is off contract. He wouldn't be a bad signing IMO.
Whispers Michael Jennings could return to Penrith, well why not Melbourne lol.

Re: Round 22 - Storm vs Titans
Love Tohu's work, but just not at centre. I don't think anyone can match Roberts for speed (see him burn past semi radrara on Monday?) but it would just be embarrassing for everyone to watch Tohu chasing after him. Whoever they put inside Koro this weekend I hope they are training nothing but defens...

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news Postby blazza18 » Mon Aug 03, 2015 11:56 am Does he have any ability other than being fast ? Good point. My ideal pick of all the centre/wing options that are off contract for the 2016 season is Daniel Vidot. He's got the size and ability to be a regular fir...

Titans looking to get rid of Kevin Gordon. Wouldn't mind seeing him line up in a Storm jersey.
