Re: Official thread and signing news
Wonder how much (if anything) the lure of possibly being the long-term #9 for the KIwis has to do with it. The strongest argument for him being a career hooker is based on his performance in rep games. Week in - week out, his best position is at Lock. Unfortunately, the payday is not as attractive....

Re: Official thread and signing news
I wonder how durable Brandon would be over the long term. His reckless style is very effective and makes him a real joy to watch but you'd have to think it would catch up with his body eventually. I hope he has a long and successful career, but I worry for him sometimes.

Re: An Asterisk on 2016 Premiership.
It doesn't make sense to penalise teams retrospectively. I think that's the sentiment of the Storm's bid to have the 07 and 09 premierships restored. I hope the NRL and the clubs are able to improve their salary cap auditing process so that they don't have to wait until the end of the year to find o...

Re: The Annual "Wrestling" Media Attack on the Storm
Has Coops actually come out and said anything about the book? I wouldn't think it was his style to make public comment.

Re: Official thread and signing news
Do whatever it takes to make the man our next great long term #9 Even if it means losing Brandon? There's 2 fairly handy blokes not playing 1 in our team DD. They're doing it for the benefit of the team because CB says the team and the club is stronger and better from them playing 6 & 7. Brando...

Re: Official thread and signing news
Do we need both Harry and Brandon? Couldn't we make do with one or the other? For mine, that question is in the hands of Brandon. If Brandon is hellbent on playing 9 and won't play anywhere else, then yes, we'll make do with just one of them. If he is OK to play 13 or bench utility, then we are bet...

Re: Boxing
Watching professional rugby league players box is like watching cats trying to swim - lots of thrashing around but ultimately a pointless endeavour.

Re: The Annual "Wrestling" Media Attack on the Storm
Just heard the words of a Sydney media person; "Penrith were the best team of the season" . So now the team that wins the grand final is not the best team. It would not be the case if the Roosters, Raiders or Rabbits won. I actually think the Panthers were the best team of the season (if ...

Pretty sure Smith will go on to a media role at Channel 9 despite the whole Current Affair debacle. I think the crew at Fox feel the same way and probably dislike him for that as much as anything else.
And you know a show has gone to s**t when Buzz is the voice of reason on the panel.

Re: 2020 Grand Final - Panthers vs Storm
Each Premiership we have won has been special for its own reason. 99’ - It was our first. Only two years in and we win the big one, setting the foundation for the juggernaut that the club has become today. 12’ - Redemption. After the pain of 2010 and our club brought to its knees, we claim one back...

Re: Finals Week 1
How it wasn't advantage to Papenhuyzen is beyond me, as was the ruling on their kick not being advantage taken. No point in the rule if that's how it's policed. Are you referring to the linebreak after the eels broke the scrum early? I don't think the advantage rule applies to scrum infringements. ...

Re: Blake Green
Perhaps he could mentor some of the younger guys. He has a wealth of experience to draw on from here and the UK. He also seems to have the personality to be able to take more of a developmental role. Kind of like Benji at the tigers perhaps but hopefully with more impact on the field!
