Re: Rep round

The penalty try, which I think was a fair call was dumb, but actually a better result for Qld than if they just ruled penalty. Cordner would have scored, so in the end, there was no additional penalty, whereas would have been down to 12 men if they didn't rule try. His kick on the third tackle was t...

Re: Queensland Cup 2018

The reviews I've been seeing are talking up Billy Walters form lately

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news

We need to all remember that it's quite likely that Billy retires this year, and Munster has long been flagged as moving back to fullback when he does. In that case - Austin would be a very good like for like replacement at 6 for Munster. I think it more comes down to where we see Jahrome fitting in...

Re: Rep round

I said years ago on here Slade was a future Kiwi hooker, then the knees I thought cruelled his chances... rapt for the bloke. A great example of perseverance and reward for effort!

It's the same injury - he hasn't recovered fully from it. It's not the second time he's done it

Re: Billy Slater - Rep Retirement

A great rep career - a very much expected announcement given I suspect he'll be hanging up his purple boots at the end of the year also

Re: Round 12 - Cowboys vs Storm

I'm running with the thought that your tongue is firmly embedded in your cheek there yourhero... but as a general vibe at times this year on here, why is there a feeling that the sky has fallen in on the Club? On the back of an unbelievable year last year, we lost 3 x Internationals, followed by a s...

You truly are a flog.

If this bloke isn't getting banned, can we bring back the ignore function we used to have?

Re: Round 12 - Cowboys vs Storm

Good call Blazza... Jacks hasn't been demanding his spot, but I can only assume Croft hasn't been either with Q Cup/training form. I would like to see both of them behind a pack that wins the battle to see who looks better. Croft against Leeds was outstanding, whereas our pack I think have lost more...

Re: Round 12 - Cowboys vs Storm

Hoffman out of the list totally surprised me!

Very glad to see Jesse back, hopefully he comes back in and rips in to find some form. We definitely need his go forward, it's been severely missed this year in our pack. (not just him!)

Re: Round 12 - Cowboys vs Storm

Suli has been horrible all year. Since they named him in the 20 year squad, I said it was wrong and he needed another year or 2 before he should have been considered. This year shows he's not worthy of being in that team. His confidence is totally shot, he needs to go back to Q Cup and earn his spot...

Re: Tim Glasby

The way I see it, we'll miss Tim's consistency and effort up the middle. A no frills player, but is now an Origin player, meaning his asking price will have gone up and no doubt be more than we are prepared to pay. The Storm structure has always been to sign forwards cheap and build the team around ...

Re: Cameron Smith - Rep Retirement

I hadn't brought tickets yet..now I think I'll just watch on tv So you only watch origin for one player? It's still the pinnacle of Rugby League, and we get one game every 3 years at best here in Melbourne to enjoy live! Get there and cheer on the Maroons! (hopefully!) - we'll still have a number o...

Re: Round 11 - Storm vs Sea Eagles

Interesting bench, but provides a fair bit of versatility in the forwards, with Dale able to move the front row, Kenny to Lock if needed. The inclusion of Hughes is interesting - he'd be very dangerous out of dummy half around some tiring forwards, or are we thinking he might cover at half, pushing ...
