Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news

Galo has gone. I think we are one short. Maybe Groat is in the wings at East.

Re: 2018 Junior Development

Dave Tyrell and Matt Groat are interesting pickups. Positives on 2 fronts. First, good to have the young fellows playing with 2 NRL forwards each week. Also, if we get in strife with injuries in the forwards, one of these could be a stopgap . There was talk on this forum a few weeks ago of us lookin...

Re: Cooper Cronk confirms he will play on with a Sydney club in season 2018

Jahrome Hughes is going to be a star. 1. Hughes 6. Munster 7. Croft 9. B. Smith there is the next 10 years sorted. Yep- I am happy with that spine. I am also enjoying - as others are on 'this forum - the disruption being caused within Sydney clubs as the teams fall over themselves to nab Cooper. Lo...

Re: What the actual FAAAAAAAAAARRRRRK?!?!?!??!

Very happy to have Sandor on board. It nicely balances the list from this season( I am assuming we have signed up Billy Walters, Lachlan Timm and Harry Grant ). Kasiano for McLean Hoffman for Harris Walters for Griffin P Kaufusi for Rochow Geraghty for Gallo Papenhuyzen for Cronk Earl for Hawkins Ti...

Re: Jordan Mclean

It is a great shame he has gone, but he left a great legacy. His GF was huge - really important hitups both deep in our back half, then on the attack, especially in the lead up to the match-winning Finucane try. I wish him well at the Cowboys. He will always be remembered as a significant contributo...

Re: 2018 Draw

Although we have sold a home game v GC, it seems we play 3 "away" games at neutral venues - Dogs, Tiges, Roosters . A couple of those early on. So though 13 games away from AAMI, only 9 at hostile venues. Sorry, my error. The Roosters sold their 2017 game against us, but next year we have...

My guess is they were thinking potentially at 6 , with Munster at 1 when Bill retires. He played mainly at 6 in Qcup. However Hughes did so well at FB this season, that they may leave Munster at 6. Not sure where that leaves Scott Drinkwater.

Re: Was this the Storm's Best Ever Year as an Organisation?

At the time 2007 was an amazing season. The team lost only 3 games, had a bigger points differential than this year, and won all 3 finals easily. So I think that team was the best we have ever had. However , given the age of the big 3, the farewell for Cooper, the comeback of Billy, the records of C...

Re: The key 3 minutes

I watched it again last night . Not getting sick of it at all !

In the interests of accuracy, I note re point 3 above that after 3 tackles we had only advanced to our 10m line.

The Cronk tackle ( point 7') was an absolute pearler.

The key 3 minutes

Having watched the GF for the fourth time last night ( I expect to be in double figures by the end of the month ) , I think there was a key 3 minute period - from around 59 to 62 minutes - that won the game for us. Cowboys were down 18-6, but attacking. They got a repeat set due to a touch by Dale. ...

Re: 2018 Playing Roster

The forward depth concerns me a little if injuries hit. Hopefully Kasiano proves me wrong and NAS take another step in his development. Think someone like Tui Kamikamica could have a real crack at a bench spot too. And yes to Smith off the bench. Don't forget we get Welch back. Myles . Kasiano . P ...
