Re: Rnd 14 vs Roosters @ Allianz

Well after last week I suggested that Craig might rest Suli for this week and bring in Young. Silly me ! Brilliant game , Suli. That is why Craig is coach, and I am sitting on the couch watching our fabulous team.
Super effort by all the boys. Munster - what a gun !

Re: Cameron Smith the next 007?

Fair call- and judging by the way Cameron's hair is retreating he will be bald like old Sean in a few years ( not that there is anything wrong with that ) ! Also I am not sure if the Bond scripts would allow James to say "yeah mate " in Cameron's very Aussie accent . Having said that, ther...

I agree he did not exactly light it up yesterday. However the conditions were abysmal, and the club was impressed with his debut against us.

Re: Round 13 - Melbourne Storm vs. Penrith Panthers

The effort of both of them - especially Coop - to back up from Origin and play so well on Saturday was extremely heartening . As per a posting last week, I feared that Coop would not back up. He made me eat my words. Brilliant effort - a triumph for his professionalism and a very positive statement ...

Re: Round 13 - Melbourne Storm vs. Penrith Panthers

Very good win against good opposition. Agree with the comments above, but I note also the excellent performances by Proctor and Finucane. Glasby is also bending the line much more when he comes on. Marieke hurt his shoulder making a tackle ( actually looked like a shoulder charge by him ), and went...

Re: Round 13 - Melbourne Storm vs. Penrith Panthers

Eddie Munster continues to star at the back. Saved a 40/20 , then slipped through the tiniest gap to make 30 metres. Absolute gun. Also very happy with both Blair and Morgan. Nothing flash, but mistake-free, and excellent try by Morgan.

Re: Round 13 - Melbourne Storm vs. Penrith Panthers

I agree Coop needs to sit this one out ( though of course it is a source of frustration that Qld takes precedence over Storm). I would be disappointed if Cam did not play, if he has pulled up ok. 1. We need to aim for top2, and this is a great chance for us to go 2 games clear of 3rd. 2. Penrith are...

Re: Round 13 - Melbourne Storm vs. Penrith Panthers

It is pleasing to see Young, Richie K and Curtis S all picked to play this weekend. As is noted , the Tuesday selections bear little resemblance to the teams that run out on the weekend, but at least it means we might be getting some depth in outside backs again. It is a farce the teams get picked o...

Re: Injuries

Good to see a much more detailed injury report by Frank P on the website this week. All bar Billy discussed in detail. Pleasing that it seems Young T will be back after the bye, but Nicholls and Hawkins ( neither of whom can take a trick) still a month away.

Re: Round 11 - Storm vs Eels

I note that Brodie Croft has been elevated to the Qld Cup. They might indeed be looking at him for origin time.

At least a few of the outside backs are returning, to give Craig some options. Good to see both Richie and Tony T named.

Re: Round 10 - Cowboys vs Storm

I have just woken here in USA to this fabulous news. Super win. A shame about Ben's injury, as he would have been pencilled in for the 7 or 9 during Origjn. Somehow however this suoerb team of ours will find a way.

Any other apparent injury or suspension concerns ?

Re: Injuries

The Club does a lot of things right, but the lack of news on injuries is appalling. I just watched the latest so-called "injury Report " with Frank P on the website. Great news that Slade is fit again , but not a word about Marika, Young, Richie , Jeremy Hawkins or Tony T., let alone how W...

Re: Munster

Greetings to all members of The Bai Stand. After reading this excellent forum for a number of years, this is my first post, and I use it to congratulate the club on signing Eddie long term. He is the latest in a small but very distinguished group of players to have worn the coveted number 1 jersey, ...
