Re: Round 19 - Warriors vs Storm

Of course the effectiveness of the punch is a factor - I don't think he actually landed one, that's why he got charged with 'fighting' not striking.
It's also why there's grading levels - with the force of the punch a big factor in that.

Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

With Munster hurting his finger (haven't heard if broken or not??), you surely don't back him up.

Jacks to 6? Or Croft to 7 allowing Hughes to take over the running 5/8 role?

Hahahahahahahaahaha - Glasby won the game for Qld????? He did his job, but that's one of the craziest things I've read!

Re: Billy Slater - Rep Retirement

I didn't have BIlly as MOM last night, but happy he was in the conversation and I'm not completely against him winning it. As for the Wally Lewis medal - I can't cop it. I'm a Qld fan, and certainly a huge Slater fan, but the fact he didn't play one game, and wasn't a clear standout in the other 2 m...

Headline "Billy Slater opens up on Cameron Smith fallout"

First line in the article "A tight lipped Billy Slater..."

That right there is clickbait at its finest!

Re: Round 17 v Dragons

The bite was disgraceful, and he was rightly suspended heavily for it (Internationals shouldn't have counted in my opinion), and he was blasted for it heavily throughout the media at the time.

It was 6 years ago though and certainly hasn't been repeated behaviour.

Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

With Slater having had the month off with the hamstring, I don't think they'll feel the need to rest him, but definitely a see how he pulls up and we have the benefit of being able to err on the side of caution if he's sore. Dale must be close to back surely - on last night too, have to love that We...

Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

He didn't say that - he said we reward form and effort, and that's why he couldn't leave Hughes out.

Nowhere did he say he won't be left out under any circumstances

Re: Hughes or Jacks or Croft at half back

In Bellamy style, I think Hughes will get the gig, but it also wouldn't surprise me if he rests Munster after a tough origin campaign to get another game into Croft/Jacks to keep their confidence up in case something happens down the stretch and they need to step in

Re: Round 17 v Dragons

Defence was worrying at times - but when you break it down... 2 tries were off rubbish penalties, the concern there is we didn't have the attitude to defend a penalty, and one was a brilliant defensive play by Aitken to strip Croft after very solid first contact. There were issues there, but we dug ...

Re: Round 18 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

The halfback decision is tough!! Hughes was outstanding - Croft brilliant on return (stiff to get stripped for the try - great play by Aitken! but he did a huge job getting back in field) and Jacks had one of his better games. I think he's a running 6 rather than a half.
