Re: Gerry Ryan wins the Melbourne Cup!!
VERY VERY VERY well said Scooter. And a big thanks for posting a link to a Fairfax article! As I posted on facebook - It was so nice to see Gerry rewarded with a Melbourne Cup win, especially after the year he's had and with everything thrown at him. The fact that after all of that he still commits ...

Re: Brian Waldron
Membership has never been a big contributing factor in regards to the NRL. The dollars that are being spent could be better utilised and invested smarter. To that I have no doubt, and if someone bought the club this would happen. As I've stated before the money the club spends is a drop in the ocean...

Re: Brian Waldron
The club being run at a loss is basically the responsibility of News Ltd. They have the Melbourne Storm brand that is one of the most recognised Australia wide, yet they fail to profit from this. I have no doubt that if Gerry and a few other very high profiled people buy the club, this will be ammen...

Re: 4 Nations - Cooper Cronk
No matter what they have done and how you feel about them you have to understand that without them we wouldn't exist! And infact with a independant commision we would need extra help from the other clubs to survive (they would have to sign an agreement to put the equvilant of what News put into us ...

Re: Changing the business of sport
Diehard Storm, Very. very well said. It's really depressing to see supporters stick their heads in the sand as to what has happened and more to the point - what is still happening. Putting what you said aside for a moment, it's also clear to me and many others that News Ltd were not only aware of th...

Re: Changing the business of sport
G'day Simo I think it'd be fair to say that I can definitely DISAGREE with you on this. He's just the new fresh faced assasin that hartigan has put in place. He sure does look like a nice guy, until you speak with him behind closed doors. He's the same as them - Extremely deceitful. And I'm not sure...

Re: Band Back Together Road Trip in March 2011
I must admit I used to be on this site everyday a few years back, and the site that preceeded this one, but the reason I, along with a few other stopped contributing was because it seemed people were posting things in order to spark a fight. Can I ask - Why do we all fight and personally attack each...

Re: Brian Waldron
I'll explain. And let me start off by saying that I fully agree that Brian Waldron should indeed face the music. And many of you are wondering why he hasn't. I ask you this question - Why hasn't he? Who are the people who would benefit most if they were indeed as innocent as they claimed, if Brian W...

Re: 4 Nations - Cooper Cronk
Well said EAGLE. News Ltd are the death of footy, simple as that. I'm glad you as a Manly Waringah supporter can see that. I just wish you'd convince the doubters in our club just what this conniving, corrupt organisation are all about. And on Cooper Cronk, very happy to be seeing him in the Aussie ...

Re: Brian Waldron
Can I ask you all something? You say you'd verbally attack him if you saw him? Would you attack Hartigan, Baxter and Marcourt? Brian Waldron was made out to be the scapegoat, and whilst I'll never agree with the things he did, I can and do see exactly why he did such things. And to find out why, all...

I can honestly say we are behind Gus. He can actually see it from a supporter and players' point of view.

Mate, I see your pain and your passion. And as much as I don't like the Manly football team, I really rate the heart in which you write with.
You love your club, and you're not affraid to show it. You're rated extrememly highly in my book mate.

Re: LIVE chat with new Storm CEO Ron Gauci at 10am 26/08/10
Speaks volumes as to the amount Gerry Ryan of Jayco loves this club. He's sacked by News Ltd, but still supports the team both financially and on game day from the outer. THIS MAN SHOULD OWN OUR CLUB.absentee wrote: Good to see that all current sponsors will be staying on.

Re: Fan Ejected From AAMI Park
Tigger I realised I said I wouldn't respond, but feel I need to say this: Officially you're 100% wrong. As I was told by Mr. Gauci himself, the statements on the banner had nothing to do with me being ejected. However I share the same belief that this indeed was the reason, but if Mr. Gauci was a ma...
