Re: Blast from the Past Top 20 (#14 & #13)

It's a list of players that debuted for the Storm 2005 and prior, has players with less than 50 games and is in no particular order.

Re: Blast from the Past Top 20 (#14 & #13)

They are my creation, just to remember some of the forgotten players in the early years of the Melbourne Storm.

Blast from the Past Top 20 (#14 & #13)

14. Semi Tadulala (2001-03) (16 games, 6 tries) - Tadulala was another fringe winger who would fill in for injuries during his time at the Storm but he took his career to England and turned into a very consistant try scorer for the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Bradford Bulls. He was still playing ...

Blast from the Past Top 20 (#16 & #15)

16. Ben MacDougall (2004) (22 games, 7 tries) – Probably one of the Storm’s better recruits. MacDougall would only spend one season at the Storm but he added some spark to the outside backs and he really knew how to make a line break (which gave the Storm some valuable field position). MacDougall wo...

Blast from the Past Top 20 (#18 & #17)

18. Brad Watts (1999-2001) (36 games, 12 tries, 11 goals) – A utility back, Watts could have been a very good player if he had stayed at the Storm. He joined Souths in 2002, where he struggled to make an impact on the cellar-dwelling Bunnies and eventually his career faded away and was left stranded...

Blast from the Past Top 20 (#20 & #19)

20. Ian Sibbit (2002) (20 games, 3 tries) – Muppet Murray’s recruitment of English centre/second rower Ian Sibbit from Warrington was a major flop and after a disappointing season, Sibbit would return to the Wolves the following year. 19. Fifita Moala (2000-04) (39 games, 20 tries) – A former rugby ...

Storm vs Broncos Trial Game in Hobart

It's been confirmed that the Storm will play the Broncos in a trial game on 18 February 2012 in Hobart.

About time rugby league had some sort of promotion in Tasmania (although it's highly unlikely there will be an expansion team there in the near future).

Re: Bulldogs and Souths 2012 - almost a team of former storm

Funny how other clubs such as Souths think that the former Storm players they recruit are going to perform as well as they did when they were at the Storm. The only players that come to mind that did any good at another club after leaving Melbourne was: Matt Orford (Manly) Brett Kimmorley (Cronulla)...

Re: Let's get Storm's premierships back!!!!!!

Being a long time member of the Storm, I would love to see the '07 and '09 premierships (and to a lesser extent the '06-'07-'08 minor premierships and the '10 WCC) given back to the club. However, it's highly unlikely the NRL are going to change their mind. Unfortunately, the Storm deserved everythi...

Re: What's happening with Quinny and Lowrie?

That's good news, I just felt that Quinn might have left due to O'Neill, Duffman and Waqa most likely to get first choice over him. Just hope he stays injury free and keeps his spot on the wing. He might even reach 100 Storm games milestone next year as he is currently on 83 games.

What's happening with Quinny and Lowrie?

What is happening with these two?? There was a rumour a few weeks back that Quinny was linked to Canberra but there has been nothing in the news about him while there also hasn't been any news of Todd Lowrie re-signing with the Storm next year. While it would be disappointing if they left, they are ...

Worst recruiting year since 2002

Are the 2012 recruits going to be as bad as 2002? (looking back on the new players that year, they were easily the worst bunch) Here is the list of the recruits the Storm have signed for 2012 (according to the Player Transfers page on the NRL website) Jason Ryles (Sydney Roosters) – Bellamy is conti...
