Re: Karmichael Hunt to Storm ?

He hasn’t played in the NRL since the Melbourne vs Brisbane 2009 Prelim, and I reckon he’ll really struggle to adapt back in the NRL. The AFL is a completely different sport. Sure rugby union converts have been successful in coming back to league as they have a few of the same simple rules (knocking...

Re: Farewell Hoffy

This is also an indication of how bad the Warriors are going, they think they can buy success as they have paid massive overs for him and Melbourne would never have matched that offer. However, if anyone is more deserving of a pay rise for the work he’s done over the years, it’s Hoffy and the offer ...

Re: Farewell Hoffy

I forgot to mention that when he debuted for the Storm in 2003, I seriously didn't expect back then he would play close to 250 games (when he leaves us) for the club, especially playing 2003-04 for us mainly off the bench.

Farewell Hoffy

I think this is the best move for the club going forward, we have to look to youth over the next couple of years (apart from maybe two veterans in Cam and Coops). However in saying this, you are an absolute legend Hoffy in what you've done for this club and I hope when you retire you have some invol...

R9 - Melbourne vs Manly-Warringah

Come on Bellyache, enough is enough. This week the season revival starts. Hopefully, something like this lines up this weekend: 1. Billy Slater 2. Travis Robinson (in for Waqa who is injured) 3. Will Chambers 4. Mahe Fonua (since O'Neill is injured and due to a lack of depth, he is the only one that...

Heritage Hoodie and the Issue with Modern Jerseys

Over the last number of years, there has been a range of replica heritage jerseys released for all clubs (including Balmain, Newtown, North Sydney and Western Suburbs) but not including Gold Coast or the failed 90s expansion clubs. Now for most current clubs, there has been a heritage range of hoodi...

Re: Storm vs Warriors Crowds

I made a similar post in the game-day thread. I won't be going to anymore games featuring the Warriors and their disgusting feral once a year supporters. It was even worse last year. Yeah, I made a comment on your post in that thread but I thought I'd make a separate post just make it known how bad...

Re: Ryan Tandy

Very sad news, was a very good recruit for us in late 2009 and then his life must have gone off the rails after the betting scandal. RIP Ryan, you played a great part in the 2009 Grand Final.

Storm vs Warriors Crowds

After the ANZAC game, I’ve just been wondering, how much more feral can the crowds become at Storm vs. Warriors games (I remember going to numerous games in the late 90s-mid 2000s between these two teams and it certainly wasn’t anywhere near as bad as what it is now). Seriously, I’m boycotting going...

Re: Krisnan Inu

Without out a doubt he would be a terrific pick up. We need some depth in the outside backs for sure. Plus he is a very good goal kicker and can take over from Cam as well.

Re: Glenn Stewart quits Manly

We should have signed him, Adam Blair isn't here anymore and we need some more go-forward in the forwards. Hopefully we get some other player of the same calibre for next year.

Re: Benji Marshall seeks return to NRL

I would love to see Benji in a navy, purple and white jersey, however I don't want him at the expense of Ben Hampton who is off contract and could be lost to the Storm if we sign Benji. He was our best player against the Warriors in what was a really poor team performance.

Re: Norrie and Hinchcliffe - Free ride

Another interesting stat that doesn't look good is that it is now 2014 and the youngest player the Storm has fielded overall in the club's history is Mahe Fonua (born 24 December 1992 - now 21 years and 4 months old). Come on Bellyache, get some 18-20 year olds in the team sooner than later or the ...
