Re: Rd 25 storm vs manly brookvale sat 31/8 7.30pm
Taufua is a massive loss for them make no mistake about that. He's improved heaps this season. Defence is much better and is one of the better dunny half runners and kick returners for a winger too. Brett Stewart might be out too, and while I don't rate him as highly as some other fullbacks, he's c...

Re: Rd 25 storm vs manly brookvale sat 31/8 7.30pm
I have no problem with the suspension,it gives him a well deserved rest So even Manly fans acknowledge that it is not a punishment? Obviously timed well by the Manly club. A REAL punishment would have been actually missing a finals game. drunkness is a mitigating factor It is NEVER a mitigating fac...

Re: Rd 25 storm vs manly brookvale sat 31/8 7.30pm
I say again. You lost. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU PLAYED BAD, HAD A CHANCE TO WIN, HAD PLAYERS OUT, PLAYERS WITH INJURIES. To win the game you much score more points. You did not score more points, so you lost, we won. Story over. So much angst over nothing,i simply stated we did ourselves no favors...

Re: Rd 25 storm vs manly brookvale sat 31/8 7.30pm
Yeah, pretty sure it still wasn't winnable in the last 10 minutes though i suppose that depends on what you call winnable. It was 20-12 after Lyon scores at about 50 minutes or so and we won 40-12. Well 15 minutes,i mean mathematically not a REAL chance,i stopped watching around the 73rd minute as ...

To be fair, the whole team had a Carige-esque performance in that game and the game was still winnable with 10 minutes leftIce wrote:Taufua has been stood down for them. After last years prelim that's probably not really a good thing for us this week, he was close to our best player

Re: Storm Cloud: Greed, Betrayal and Success
The author criticises news limited in the last few chapters. The guy who wrote this definitely isn't news limited. I'm thinking Fairfax or independant. Basically Waldron is a knob and if he hadn't GUARANTEED the TPA's, we wouldn't have been over the cap. And Gallop is a dodgy prick who decided the ...

Re: Storm Cloud: Greed, Betrayal and Success
Just finished reading it, quite fair in my opinion. My one disappointment - the author skims past 11/9/11, the day we booed Gallop. He only mentions it in one sentence and does not even refer to his stupid and offensive comments afterwards (on the 10th anniversary of the wtc bombing no less). The a...
