Re: Official thread and signing news
As near as I can tell, we have 2 spots for middle forwards available for next year, I wonder if we'd chase someone like Petterson -Robati from the warriors who previously killed it in our juniors and has been close to fg multiple times but not quite cracked it I see Eli Katoa started at lock for th...

Re: Storm vs Eels
Things that don’t work: Jesse Bromwich’s dumb little step he does before contact.
Cameron Munster’s short line drop-outs.
Extremely annoying.

Re: Storm vs Eels
I’m really wondering if Bellamy considers a change of tactic here and changes out Meaney to the bench to start an extra forward - potentially either Lewis or Smith at five-eighth. Could supply a counter to the Eels who will no doubt be trying to do what the Roosters did in pounding our guys though t...

Re: Storm vs Roosters
There are a few things to take out of that game. Firstly, the team really needs to figure out how to overcome coffin kicking tactics. For anyone who doesn’t know what coffin kicking is - it’s when you bomb to the opposition wings and pin them in the corner. They don’t have space to counter attack an...

Re: Storm vs Roosters
Pretty underwhelming performance so far but the fact the guys have made 100 more tackles, have only had 38 per cent possession and are only down by six is pretty wild.

Re: Official thread and signing news
I said it when he was first loaned here, I’d be surprised if he doesn’t try to stick around next season. You would think we would kick the tyres on that idea as well. Unfortunately, I think he has to go back, otherwise the whole loan thing becomes jeopardised in future. That said, if he goes back a...

Re: Panthers v Storm
This is probably a weird observation but did anyone feel like that was the first time in a very long time that we saw the Storm actually play like the Storm? Had very little ball, seemed to be behind physically but tackled well, made excellent decisions defensively and made the most of very limited ...

Re: Panthers v Storm
I think the guys can jag a win here but man, they need to stick with their tackling. I went through the stats from all the games since that weird loss to Manly and the team is averaging something like 40 odd missed tackles a game. Before this period it was at about maybe 20-30 per game. Win this one...

Re: Storm v Titans
Said it last week, but gee Munster looks to be loving playing fullback and enjoying the time and space playing there gives him. Do we experiment with paps at 5/8 during the off season? It’s a pretty wild thing but if you were to assess him as a five-eighth or a fullback against every other player i...

Re: RD 19 Rabbitohs vs Storm
I’m not sure if this is a weird take but does anyone else think the club is really badly missing Dale Finucane? He was part of the leadership circle, seasoned, successful and during the origin period last year really put in some stellar performances. It seems like his battle-hardened approach to foo...

Re: Round 18 Storm v Raiders
Bad thing for Paps with his size is he's always in and around bodies. This new knee one is just unfortunate but earlier in the game where he kicked the ball out to save a try scoring opportunity he was a millisecond away from breaking his leg. Not really sure what the club can do with him outside o...

Re: Soooo, Billy Slater
He’s clearly a talented coach but I wouldn’t be throwing everything at him to take over from Bellamy yet.
Also, anyone else stoked to see how much the crowd was loving him and chanting his name last night? Reminded me of when he got the Clive Churchill medal after the 2017 Grand Final.

Re: Is the coaches message becoming lost?
I’m not sure his message is being lost as such. In 2012 the club lost five straight including to the Eels (who I think won the spoon that year) and to the Dragons (who missed the finals). I’m not saying generally that this side is the 2012 team that will go on and win it all but what I believe is he...

Re: Round 17: 07.07 (Thu 19:50) Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks vs Melbourne Storm
Honestly, if the forwards play as poorly and seem as uninterested as they did last week against the Cronulla pack then it won’t be a contest regardless of who the Sharks have out or how the conditions are. Their wingers are lethal try scorers too. I’m just hoping the pack comes out firing and tries ...
