Re: How the hell did we let go of Crocker??!!!

I wish Mick all the best, but he really really doesn't look good in Red, Green and White......

So much better in Navy blue, White, Purple and gold trim :)

Re: New competition for Storm?

The annoucement over night from the SANZAR is even worst than expected with the Union taking on League head to head with Test Matches over the GF weekend, Super 16 moving to 22 rounds, a new Tri Nations schedule will see the Wallabies play the majority of home Test matches in September. The extra te...

Re: Round 10 Storm v Raiders Heritage Round on Monday Night

Not sure if they are playing down the Sika issue, I hope they are. He went down as they were doing the walk around near the goals at the river end and was down for a bit. (would have been close to 5 or more minutes) He did get up with help and had 3 helping him walk back to the race. The players loo...

Re: Johns stays in coaching role

Again, lets just hope that there is support/counselling available for the women involved and now Johns. We should also remember that Johns was only 'stood down' from nine......not sacked as some in the media have and are saying. Remember we 'stood down' a player at the beginning of the year and ther...

Re: Round 10 Storm v Raiders Heritage Round on Monday Night

Can't see it happening when you consider the game is at night, we have the electronic signage around the majority of the ground and we have never allowed it before. We even stopped the 'fans banner comp' which saw round winners paraded around the sidelines back in 98 due to 'insurance reasons' and l...

Re: New competition for Storm?

I think it would be around up to 30%, as well as that you have companies that book a box on a casual basis that are 'Union sponsors' that I think would stop if there was a Union team. We know Union is know supported from a Representative level only and then more from a corporate level when you look ...

Re: New competition for Storm?

The other consideration is from the corporate sector.

There are a number of corporate bodies that prefer Union over League that currently support Storm from corporate box point of view that if Union was to come to Melbourne would leave Storm before you could blink.

New competition for Storm?

SANZAR, the alliance of the Australian, South African and New Zealand rugby unions, decided in Dublin on Thursday to expand the competition, avoiding a threat that the partnership might break up. The new team will join the pack in 2011, but will not be named until a tender process - which may see bi...

Re: Johns stays in coaching role

TWO more players have emerged in the Sharks group sex scandal, with former player Daniel Ninness revealing he went home with the woman after the incident but at no stage had sex with her. "We were gathered as a team in an establishment in Christchurch. After we left the establishment I returne...

Re: Other Players involved in the Johns Saga

Kimmorley. Why do so many Storm supporters try at any opportunity to have a go at Noddy. It would be a very dangerous for anyone to throw any names around regarding this issue at the moment....what's the term......'legal reasons' would be something that we all need to be very careful off, especiall...

Re: Johns stays in coaching role

The thing I just can't help wondering is why this single event from 7 years ago should result in the end of Matt's career when his brother confessed to something just as morally reprehensible and yet he still gets to assist in coaching and appear on Channel 9? Is it because it's Joey - the best in ...

Re: Round 10 Storm v Raiders Heritage Round on Monday Night

We are wearing the 2001 Purple jersey (as posted back in Feb/March. on here)

Each year a different heritage jersey will be picked based on where we are playing....i.e. home or away.

Will be interesting to see how many dig there old jerseys out for Monday night.

Re: Johns stays in coaching role

What is the bigger issue here is the lack of support for people that have depression and going through turmoil in their lives that need or crying out for help? Here is a women that regrets what she did with a number of men and has felt and gone into depression over it and there has been little to no...
