You wouldn't expect much else from Freddy, he does work with the network that provides us with such great coverage (Channel None).

Re: Plane Crashes killing 16
The Eagle this topic is gold. I was at the Wallabies v All blacks clash and when I saw the Eels result on my phone I thought about posting plane / train crash kills 17 (was going to include Hayne as part of death toll). I guess you beat me to the punch. I am not sure if he is a train or plane anymor...

Re: O'Neill and Norrie re-sign for 2 years
Woo hoo, great news. I did say when we first signed Norrie that he would be as solid as our other 60 game recruit Luke MacDougall. He has been far better. Norrie was always going to stay because we saved his NRL career. Norrie just puts his hand up and keeps asking for work. Great to see O'Neill sta...

Re: Tandy to stay a bulldog
Have been a big fan of Ryan Tandy since I saw him play a few games for Balmain Ryde Tigers in NSW Cup and Ireland in RLWC. I was pumped when he came to the Storm and I think the Storm helped turn him into a consistent first grade player. Shame we couldn't keep him considering he would have been a re...

Re: Independent Storm directors abandon legal action
Billythekidslater - You're a fu#king joke. They have no choice - They can't persue it because they are not involved with the club anymore. They really have no choice. So I now expect you take back what you just called them. You have no idea the measures these 4 directors have gone to, and the amoun...

Re: Can anyone shed light on why Neilsen played NSW cup today
When I first heard Justin was in for Dane, my immediate thought was that Dane would not be at the Storm next year. This disappoints me because I am a big fan of Danger although he hasn't been as effective the last couple of weeks as he had been previously.

Re: Greg Inglis to Brisbane
If we are paying $200k in our cap for the next two years for GI, I would be unhappy with that. However, if it meant we kept Sika and Blair than that is a good consolation. After the way we stood by Greg during his assault case, it really hurts if he has just thrown it back in our face. We don't know...

http://www.theage.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/rumour-mill-and-reality-tracking-different-paths-in-scandal-20100702-zu13.html As for Four Corners the show's award-winning reporter, Sarah Ferguson, is indeed researching a salary-cap piece and interviewed Simpson among others, but there is no air ...

Hep Cahill has withdrawn from the Residents team with an ankle injury. He has been replaced by ex-Storm player Aiden Guerra.
Congratulations to Rory on being named captain.

Re: Cooper Cronk
To HayneHeadbutt, if Cronk goes to the Eels (which I hope he doesn't), you would have one quality player in your side then. Hayne supposedly the "best player in the world", lets look at his output in big games: 2009 Grand final: he did nothing, matches for Australia: nothing, matches for N...

Roy Masters
I loved a comment Roy Masters made on the Offsiders last Sunday (ok, I know it was almost a week ago, but this is my first real chance to get on the BaiStand since then). They had just shown highlights of the Storm game and Barrie Cassidy said: "The good thing for the Storm is that the two play...

The Eagle you are lucky to be able to watch the ESL (even if it is a terrible standard), since Channel None has had the rights, they showed two or three games at the start of last season in Melbourne and haven't shown one since.

Re: Things to consider
The NRL TV rights are so low because Channel Nine had no competition and the amount paid by Fox Sports is so low because of News Ltd's ownership interest in the NRL plus (when compared to the AFL) it is not a truly national competition. I read a report a few weeks ago that Channel Seven were very ke...

Re: Hayne free to play
I am so glad that Hayne got cleared because he provided NSW with the same thing he provides in all his big games: absolutely nothing. Lets have a look at what Hayne has done on the big occasion: 2009 Grand Final: nothing, playing for Australia: nothing and playing for NSW: nothing. And he is meant t...
