Re: QUALIFYING FINAL - Storm vs Raiders

Yeah it was certainly another brain snap from NAS (much like some of his play-the-balls that have been penalised after a decent run), but I wasn't convinced that he actually touched the line with his double movement - to me, it looked like he tried to move it closer but it was held up and then pushe...

Re: QUALIFYING FINAL - Storm vs Raiders

I disagree - in my opinion, we were definitely robbed. Either of those players being sin binned could/should have resulted in more points for us, and we lost by 2. Sure, if we hadn't made our own mistakes we probably would've been able to overcome the poor refereeing, so that's definitely on us and ...

Re: QUALIFYING FINAL - Storm vs Raiders

Funny, there's no mention on Fox Sports of us being robbed and that the ref and touchie have been subsequently dropped for their 'performance'... there is however an article there about Cam's "ref-whingeing". Absolutely f-ing pathetic they are. They do also mention the "struggling Philadelphia Steel...

Re: QUALIFYING FINAL - Storm vs Raiders

Yeah, I don't think Croft being out there tonight instead of Hughes gets us the win, and that's the point - Croft is a halfback but gives us nothing more than Hughes who isn't.

Re: QUALIFYING FINAL - Storm vs Raiders

The refs allow the Raiders to get away with so much crap - the same stuff, and worse, that they penalise us for - but we can't get over the frustration that this causes when we play them for some reason. The most frustrating thing with our defense tonight was seeing how well we controlled the middle...

Idiots. Dominate all season, then are off when it matters most. Now they have to play the Tigers in an elimination final next weekend.

And supergrub aka McGuire gets a week for tripping. Pretty sure his personal motto is 'don't gouge until you see the whites of their eyes'.
And not surprisingly, we didn't even get a penalty for it.

Guess not... just like the Tigers not using Addo-Carr. WTF?!

When Manly couldn't hold the ball whilst Chambers was off, I was yelling karma's a b**** at the TV and flipping Cummins off every time his smug, cheating face appeared.
If you & I were both doing this exact same thing, I wonder how many others were as well!

Re: Round 24 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

Seriously, when has Suli run out of any credit he banked in his first two seasons. He is without a doubt the dumbest player in the NRL. I have no confidence in his ability to hold the ball in attack, and absolutely zero when he's defending.

Re: Round 24 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

I feel for Croft as well, because it's quite clear that a lack of effort in games is certainly not his issue - he's just not the Cronk 2.0 that he was hyped up to be, at least not consistently. I do think that Hughes at 7 and Papenhuyzen at 1 is our best option moving forward, but I'll still be real...

I've witnessed some seriously shit refereeing in my time (hello 2006 GF), but this is going to another level.

Re: Round 23 - Storm vs Titans

Brodie Croft and Harry Grant drop out of our squad to face the Titans today. Ryan Papenhuyzen will start at fullback, with Jahrome Hughes to start at halfback. Tom Eisenhuth will start on the interchange bench.

So our confirmed bench is Brandon Smith, Kamikamica, Eisenhuth, and Max King.

Re: Round 23 - Storm vs Titans

Tino was a little unlucky last week in that when he was on the field, we couldn't hold onto the ball. He only received the ball twice for two runs (19m). He did get OK minutes (21mins) so a part of it is that he needs to force his way into the middle and put his hand up for a run . Likely he is sti...
