Re: Half Back for 2020

Was that before or after Brodie’s forward pass and kick that went dead giving the Cows a 7 tackle set with the game in the balance? Brodie played an overall decent game. Doing that consistently has always been his problem. Also, one win doesn’t equate to good leadership. I can remember Brodie having...

Re: Round 1 - Sea Eagles vs Storm

Will it be in front of an (almost) empty stadium given the unfolding situation in Sydney ? Not necessarily an NRL imposed empty stadium however. As the Coronavirus situation continues to unfold over the coming weeks and months, we may see League wide NRL imposed lockouts or shutdowns. In the US the...

Re: Official thread and signing news

Doesn't matter how you feel about them but letting Croft, Drinkwater, Scott, and to a lesser extent Tino go in the last 12 months isn't a good look. I don't blame Smith's contract on that btw but he is the highest paid player at the club so he's an easy target. Smith is reportedly on $800K. For con...

Croft has been named in the Senior Leadership Group at the Broncos.
At 22 years of age.
And 39 NRL games.

Desperate times in Brisbane I guess.
Croft has been named co-captain of the Brisbane Broncos... :shock2:
The other co-captain is 22 year old Patrick Carrigan who has played 19 NRL games.

Not overly impressed with the make up of the bench tbh.

Re: Official thread and signing news

Yea, I dunno. Having Smith retire seems like an easy fix to the problems we've had the last two seasons of having cap trouble and losing young players. But is that actually the case? Who have we lost that we otherwise would have kept if we had Smith's cap money laying around? Vunivalu - Huge Rugby ...

Will be interesting to see how much impact there is. Clubs/the NRL will use it as an excuse no matter what happens.

I am hopeful with Seve but confident with Tui. I reckon Tui is in for a big year.
