Re: The Annual "Wrestling" Media Attack on the Storm

Finch has just absolutely given it to Shane Richardson on Sunday Night with Matty Johns after James Roberts was sin-binned him for the elbow.

Really fired up.

Re: Round 21 - Rabbitohs vs Storm

I'd argue that win was even better than the one the Storm had over the Warriors over the road and probably the best of the season. Souths were full of intent, had nine consecutive penalties and a one-man advantage but still couldn't really take advantage of it. Add in the fact Olam barely lasted 20 ...

Re: Round 20 - Broncos vs Storm

On a lighter note how good is it when asked in the post game Dale Finucane brought up the try they conceded.

“There’s still areas of improvement in our game.”

Never satisfied haha

Re: Round 20 - Broncos vs Storm

Weird - the fact our guys put 40 past them doesn’t really even show how dominant they were I feel. I think they probably could have scored 60. Make no mistake - was an absolute massacre. The first-half was messy and disjointed for about 20 minutes but once the left side found space they killed them....

Re: Round 19 - Storm vs Sea Eagles

I think a lot of us are feeling similar to how we felt after the Roosters loss. This was a game where the opportunity to snatch it was there but the hard work was undone by poor execution at the end of sets inside the 20 and a number of missed chances. Missing five field goal attempts it pretty bad....

Re: Round 18 - Titans vs Storm

I don’t think Bellamy’s getting enough credit for the whole idea of using Papenhuyzen as a “bench fullback”. He’s been the find of the season for the club I feel. He was probably the best player out there on the field today - yes, I know he started and was named at five-eighth. He ran for more than ...

Re: Round 15 - Roosters vs Storm

Didn’t play bad but lucky to not have given it away with those two chances they had late. They handled us pretty easily in that second half. It’s weird. After the two games you could argue the guys were lucky to win the second one, unlucky to lose the first. That being said the fact Mitchell, Cronk...

Also, Finucane’s a machine - not that we all didn’t know that. Already has 106 run metres.

Re: Round 15 - Roosters vs Storm

How on earth is it 12-all? The Roosters are leading the penalty count 6-1 and have had about five times as many tackles inside the Storm 10.

That defensive read from Croft was awful but overall his kicking’s been pretty solid.

Re: Round 15 - Roosters vs Storm

It’ll be interesting to see if Luke Keary is named. He’s been told to take six weeks off and unless I’ve counted wrong he should be back for this game. Latrell Mitchell will obviously play given he’s not taking part in the second Origin game. The next few weeks will really test where our guys are th...

Re: Round 13 - Warriors vs Storm

I don’t want to be too hard on Croft but as this season goes on it’s going to be hard to justify him keeping his spot. His decision making hasn’t been great but what’s always concerned me is his inability to fit in with set plays and his poor service to his outside men. I’d argue while Hughes is a f...

Re: Round 13 - Warriors vs Storm

That was nothing short of exceptional.

Completely professional, composed and clinical.

Loved the efforts from the forwards and couldn’t ask more from the backs.

A 92 per cent completion rate is insane.

Re: Round 9 - Storm vs Eels - MAGIC ROUND

Ryan Papenhuyzen had 137 running metres, two try assists, a try and three line breaks. He played only 32 minutes.

That's absolutely nuts.

Re: Round 8 - Sharks vs Storm

Papenhuyzen needs a chance to start. I’d be dropping Vunivalu and promoting him to the wing. I’d also argue the team needs to chance its attack coach. The guys are still running too sideways. Anyway, this is what I’d be going with next week... Jahrome Hughes, Ryan Papenhuyzen, Will Chambers, Marion ...
