Re: 1999 Grand Final - 3AK Broadcast
It's a funny thing Buzz posted this because I said to Emma on the weekend "Who's going to tape the commentary for us this time?"... It was Jeff's dad who taped the '99 Grand Final for him and he made copies of the tape for us all. Luckily a couple of years back I figured out how to copy it...

Re: 1999 Grand Final - 3AK Broadcast
There certainly are a few CDs floating around and I suspect this MP3 may have even come from one of those CDs. ;D Classic Lines (from memory as it's been at least a year or so since I last listened): "Look at the other commentators!!! This'll stick it up 'em!!!" - said around the time of ...

Re: which is the better sci fi show???
I am surprised no-one has brought sci-fi cartoons into the topic, my fave was Battle Of The Planets (I'm pretty sure that was the name of it). Yep, that's the name alright! I used to love that show! It was about a group of super-kids, called G-Force, who went about saving the Universe and stuff lik...

Re: which is the better sci fi show???
If it was specifically the re-make of Battlestar we're talking about here, I would have had even more trouble selecting my favourite. Personally I don't care much for the original. I mean, Starbuck circa. 1978 is a bloke, for fracks sake??? What's doing there? Where's Firefly ??? Gorramit! I wanna v...

Re: HILL TO STAY
Maybe I should make up some badges saying "Geyer stay on your man!". Oooh, and if you mention something about how he should stop trying to impersonate a crab and try running forward for a change, I'll put my order in for one now! ;) ;) ;) This may have been brought up before, and I may ha...

Re: Grapple Tackles? Storm? What about Carney?
In reference to Anthony Quinn playing for us next year, the Herald Sun quotes Quinn as saying: "I'll learn to tackle their way but until then I'm here" http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,19811606-14823,00.html In one breath he's accusing us of grapple tackles and in the next br...

Re: Finally a friday night home game
Game times for the 'next' round (in this case Round 16) are generally decided late Monday afternoon. Quite often if you call the NRL after 15:00 or 16:00 on Monday they will be able to confirm the times for you. Not sure how Mikey found out but a friend of mine called the NRL yesterday and was told ...
