Re: Finals week one

Hey Ice what chance is Inglis having a dip? He'll be missing when it counts.

Re: LOOK WHO IS COMING HOME----HOFFY

It's a bad move Bellamy. Better get Finch back too, he is the only bloke that can guide him around the park.

Bring back Ben Cross.

Re: 2m for Blair

C'mon Ice, Hoffman? He is not the way forward. The bloke was past his best last year and the form he showed in the back half of 2009 was directly a result of Brett Finch bringing him into the action.

Unless he comes bacl to play front row, we are better off promoting a 20's player.

Adelaide game

Anybody understand why this game is being played in a city that has no interest in rugby league and will never have a team in the future? Some might say it gives us a chance to watch the team in Adelaide, but lets be honest, there are plenty of opportunities to watch the team interstate every year. ...

Exactly how have we been let down badly because the game is being shown live at 12pm on Fox?

Re: Jaiman lowe

He's not the answer. I was a big fan of his signing, especially after his great performance against the Storm last year. However, he has failed to deliver for us. He looks too slow, lacks serious power to bend the line back. They just chop him down quite easily. Sika Manu drives through tackles much...

Re: Storm CEO claims crowd figures inflated

I hope this lady is a Storm fan Ice. As long as prices are high and TV is all the NRL care about the crowds will remain low. It's a shame but that's the way it is. Cricket suffered (50 over games) due to the high prices and league is the same. General admin needs to be cut in half. They make no mone...

Re: What's with the small crowds?

It's always going to be the case in Melbourne unless something drastic changes - most notably the prices. New fans or existing AFL fans will not turn up week in week out. Just won't happen. The media is saturated with AFL news every day. Remember, it's not just league that struggles against the code...

Re: Jamaine Lowe Article

I remember prior to round I said this bloke would be a great buy and most people said he was useless.

Good to see people getting behind him. Bellamy runs with a low profile pack of players who develop into front liners (bar Kirk Reynoldson and Alex Chan).

Re: Our "Forward" Pack

Just think how far our pack has come in the last 5 years. I cringe at the thought of the days when Kirk Reynoldson was running around.

Re: Rnd 1 Melbourne vs Manly

[/quote] Pretty much spot on there where you say there'll be nothing lost in the defensive line. The ironic thing is that it was pointed out how poor Champions defence was with 53 missed tackles in 19 games last year, yet when you compare it to the bloke he's replacing there's very little difference...

Re: Rnd 1 Melbourne vs Manly

Nice response there Ice, don't 'melt' under the pressure. Champion is a very capable replacement. Anybody who watched Greg and his laziness in defence will realise there has been nothing lost in the defensive line having Champion as his replacement. The key behind our success is go forward and alway...

Re: Are the Rebels a Threat to Melbourne Storm

They might not be a threat to us.......no sport is a threat in AFL-bourne. One thing they do better - they tell their fans at the start of the season the exact days their games are on. Whether we like it or not, they are here to stay and they have huge support from the top end of town. Money won't b...
