Re: Round 20 - Dragons vs Storm

I am far more excited for these kinds of games where these players are playing for future contracts, game time and things that many players take for granted. I hope win, lose or draw these guys with less game time give it their all. I am sure there will be nails bitten and hair pulled by many of us ...

Re: Round 19 - Storm vs Tigers

I am sorry but King is not in our top 17.

He seems like a great player to have in the club but his abilities rank lower than other players in the team. Its the harsh reality. Kind of like the Sandor Earl of our forward pack but less beautiful looking.

Re: Round 18 - Storm vs Cowboys

I would sleep better knowing Tui, NAS and Suli were given an extra week to rest.

Our position at season's end isnt really that crucial this year as long as we are in top 4. Why chance it?

Yep 90 storm and 9 tigers
I find it crazy that JAC will have played equally as many games as Matt King played for us (91) by the weekend.

It feels like Kingy was around for much longer

Re: Official thread and signing news

Getting 1 year extra out of Cam is not as important to the club's continuing dynasty as getting 5 years out of both Brandon and Harry. Lock them in for 4 years each on the proviso that Cam will retire or move on. Brandon and Harry need to commit first before Cam makes his move or else the club loses...

Re: Official Injury Updates Thread

So add Brandon (Jaw) and Kenny (Calf tear) to the list.

If Storm needs I can get some annual leave approved by my manager and be in Sunshine Coast quite soon.

Re: Round 15 - Eels v Storm

Unfortunately the injuries have left us with a significant leadership void and that's no slant on Kenny but there's no one who the refs respect out there.

I do think Brandon is done for the year. The fact he wouldn't let the trainer touch his face says volumes.

Re: Round 15 - Eels v Storm

To be honest as frustrating as it's been it's a better performance than anyone imagined. Well done lads. In saying that I knew our 5/8 answer was not going to be solved by a Titans signing lol. Sorry Jacks offers us nothing, same goes for Sandor. Sandor is not quite an outside back and not quite a 2...

Re: Round 15 - Eels v Storm

I am somewhat excited about the new look line up. We haven't seen an influx of new names for quite some time since the representative season used to decimate us regularly. I think the concerns about Eels pushing us to the brink are well founded and it will be a tough game. They may smash us from the...

I'd rather take the L if it means we try new players to get time and experience.

Re: Official Injury Updates Thread

Looks like most clubs are having injuries left right an centre, I guess we should be happy ours havent been too bad. Would be interesting to see if the rate if injuries is unusually high this year? Players getting back into games not full fit (due to the COVID break) could be a cause. Follow nrlphy...

I was most happy when our right side was Brenko and Momo.

Re: Tino Out....... ??? IN

Given current COVID-19 situation Cartwright might have to have an injection to enter Melbourne, so we know he is not going to do that. Plus doesn't pass the no d/heads policy. I'd rather nurture the players we have - Vete, Schonig and King. Vete and King serve different purposes in our team, they a...

Re: Tino Out....... ??? IN

Surely Cartwrights knees are absolutely shot to bits. I think too injury prone , besides is clear intellectual deficiencies.

What about Shannon Boyd? He's not doing alot but would be far more expensive than Tino's deal.
