Re: Newcastle Knights vs Melbourne Storm at McDonald Jones Stadium, 5.30pm AEST

If Olam is in the team next week Bellamy has no clue, am I the only one seeing this? He is PATHETIC, no where near first grade standard anymore, how he keeps stealing a living as a footballer I’ll never know. Warbrick, Hughes & Munster been average too, not their best night. Sims has given us no...

Re: Newcastle Knights vs Melbourne Storm at McDonald Jones Stadium, 5.30pm AEST

I’d drop Olam for either Seve or Jennings, possibly give Garlick a reprieve for Wishart but that one isn’t a huge issue. Thought Katoa would be back for this one, not sure about NAS on that edge, might even be an idea to start Tommy there and bring NAS on for impact. Big game, the Knights season on ...

Re: Roosters v Storm: Round 20

Olam

Tackles made: 4
Tackles missed: 5

Is this the first time in history a guy has missed more tackles than he has made in a game? Wow.

Re: Roosters v Storm: Round 20

Olam needs to go, that isn’t even a debate anymore. Seve Jennings or Warbrick to centre if CB is fair dinkum. We need to still make some big calls about some of these players that are underperforming, can we win a comp with some of these guys in the squad? Paps, Sua, Jennings, Seve, Katoa etc are al...

Re: Roosters v Storm: Round 20

Who is our attack coach? Do we do any work on it at training? We have no idea how to even run a simple shift play I can’t remember the last time we actually got the ball to our edges with no dramas it’s embarrassing at the moment, look like we have never played together before.

Re: Roosters v Storm: Round 20

We cannot win the competition without Papenhuyzen back, we are TOOTHLESS in attack, no shape no blocks no threat, Meaney is a good back up but if we want to mix it with the big boys we need our superstar back in that 1 jersey ASAP! It’s crazy we look like we just have NFI when we get in that danger ...

Re: So where do you have the Storm as we enter the business end of the year?

We need to make some big calls before the business end if we are going to make any noise but these are my most contentious calls: - We need Papenhuyzen to win the comp, as much as I admire the work Meaney has done he isn’t Paps. Much like Slater it’s so much more than just being safe, he is the X-fa...

Re: Melbourne Storm vs Penrith Panthers - Round 18 - Friday 30/6/23 - Marvel Stadium - 8pm

Jeez the bench needs to be used better too, we carry a useless player every week like Anderson, Bradley or Garlick and typically leave a useful rucky at 18th man, I think with Katoa back in a few weeks we need to run with: 8. Asofa-Solomona 9. Grant 10. Welch 11. Loiero 12. Katoa 13. King 14. Kamika...

Re: Melbourne Storm vs Penrith Panthers - Round 18 - Friday 30/6/23 - Marvel Stadium - 8pm

Their centres showed ours what elite looks like, those individual battles and mistakes was the difference at the end of the day, Tago had a field day, Critta was superb, Reimis and Olam just looked busted and out of their depth at times, not to mention the metres their back 3 make for them which is ...

Re: Melbourne Storm vs Penrith Panthers - Round 18 - Friday 30/6/23 - Marvel Stadium - 8pm

Very upsetting defeat, but shows how far off the pace we are to beat the very best, Meaney was trash and I know he has been solid but we need some X-Factor back there, Reimis tried hard but made some really poor decisions which led directly to tries, Olam needs to be dropped I don’t care what anyone...

Re: Melbourne Storm vs Penrith Panthers - Round 18 - Friday 30/6/23 - Marvel Stadium - 8pm

Our forwards especially Harry did all the early damage, our 1-6 has been quite poor backing them up, Olam and Coates unsighted, Meaney invisible after some nice early involvement, I always hate the early lead we seem to get very complacent and Penrith are the last team to relax against, reset and br...

Best 30 we’ve played all year, then we just lost the plot, bit of luck and we are still in it up to our eyeballs, NAS was lucky to get awarded that try its a knock on all day, still in it but I wonder how much we have left in the tank.

Re: Melbourne Storm vs Penrith Panthers - Round 18 - Friday 30/6/23 - Marvel Stadium - 8pm

Big big test. Forwards will need to show up for his one. Be surprised if we can score more than 16-18 points so the defence is going to need to tighten up a lot more than the last few weeks. Agreed this one’s going to won in the middle, I do think our defence has been much better the last few weeks...
