Re: Round 12 - Sea Eagles vs Storm
There are a lot of "growing pains" in the Storm - my observations, and I can't wait for your letters :-) 1. Sua - Great in attack but his organisation of defence is partial to blame. That is where Paps is really good. He has been caught out of position and look when a player gets past him ...

Re: Official thread and signing news
We have 2024 left - who can we sign mid season to fill the team. My thoughts are we need another back. Knowing the Storm they already have a player in mind for a mid season (switch / swap) from the bottom 4 clubs. Given the prior deals with the Tigers, maybe someone from them.

Re: Round 1 vs Panthers @ AAMI Park
I actually think we can win this. Our fowards lack mass but are shit more mobile than last year. I don't think it will be the slaughter that we experienced last year.

Re: Round 1 vs Panthers @ AAMI Park
Although he is not in the list when you listen to Joey Johns - he said that our season is awaiting the emergence of Jack Howarth. I have seen glimses, but he is low on 1st grade confidence. I wonder if there is background coaching talk that we/i am not aware of. He was picked for the NZ team after o...

Re: Leadership group
Welch looks like the "cool" type - you don't need/want a hot head in a bad situation not for the face of the club. He is very smart, articulate and with the media. When JB left and the team was interviewed , without doubt, Welch was the most nominated BY THE PLAYERS. Jarome is VC on the fi...

I think they are hoping that Lazarus Vaalepu will add something - I hope he isn't a dud.

Frankly I would be more upset if he was a "stop the oil" protester.

Re: Official thread and signing news
There is a "30 Player Limit" for each NRL Team Roster, whatever that means - the Storm Websit lists 34 players - some are considered "development" players. Rules are rules - I think? We have a FAT roster and need to purge in order to afford the mid season "buy/transfer"...

Re: Official thread and signing news
Looks like the Storm are letting players go, one at a time out of respect. Better than a group.

Re: 2024 - How are we shaping up?
Keep an eye on Kane Bradley - he is big, but lacks confidence. He could be a standout next season if he gets the right coaching.
Re Sua, agree with his defence. He could be better than Reese Walsh if he learns how to defend. His field positioning lacks polish.
