Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium
I’m furious with the lack of polish in the basics. We were never going to win that game, but was pretty confident we’d give it a crack.

Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium
Sounds like he’ll be right by the way he spoke on the Ausmericans poddy.
May as well, would take him at even 80%.

Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium
I'm trying to come up with ways we can win on Friday but it's a pretty bleak outlook. Still, all it takes is a bit of luck and to string together our best possible 80 minutes. Stranger thing s have happened - I just want to be competitive.

Re: 1st Semi Final vs Roosters @ AAMI Park
The Roosters have been ordinary almost all year. I still can’t help but feel they are going to dominate us. I hate being negative, but I genuinely cannot remember ever feeling so unenthusiastic for a finals game. Same here, getting strong vibes of 2013/14 where we simply didn't have another gear fo...

Re: 1st Semi Final vs Roosters @ AAMI Park
What the *lima lima lima duck* are they playing at with these ticket prices? Category 2 at $90 and Category 1 at $100 shows just how out of touch NRL are - particularly with a bigger attraction on across the road.

Re: Finals Week 1 vs Broncos - 2nd Qualifying Final - Suncorp Stadium
This is an absolute dream scenario to be in. We've had a pretty shaky season, but still find ourselves finishing third and now have a realistic pathway to the Grand Final. Broncos are rightfully bookies favourites, they've been exceptional this season. I know we've got the wood over them, but all ru...

Re: Round 27 - Rest and Blood players
A few thoughts from me while I procrastinate at work this morning. 1. Paps has lost some of his pace, which was expected - but he's made up for it. He's incredibly smart and his positioning and back up play is phenomenal. If we never see him at his quickest again so be it, there's no fullback I'd ra...

Re: Blow outs
Paul Kent last night suggested the rules will be adjusted to last years rules again during the off season. I think that was a happy medium.

Re: Round 18 - Storm Vs Knights (Homecoming)
I think Bellamy may have been tempted to rest a few origin lads if this wasn't our homecoming. Very excited either way - hopefully no more relocations

Re: Blow outs
A bit late to this thread - but it's a direct result of the new rules. Tackles are over in 2 in seconds out of fear of giving away a set restart. The wrestle of the game is gone and teams charge up field in no time. Six-agains are a bonus for the attacking team - but for clubs such as ours and Penri...

Re: An Asterisk on 2016 Premiership.
Can easily be claimed that by them cheating the cap in 2015, it gave them the platform to win in 2016. Combine that with the slap on the wrist for being drug cheats - when a few players in that title winning squad should have been suspended - then yes, I think their title has a big cloud of doubt ar...

Re: State of Origin
Very true! But Bellamy is a master for finding that potential in players. He knew Munster was a fullback and Hughes was a halfback before even they did!

Re: State of Origin
Am a NSW man myself, but avoid admitting it too often around Storm fans as we seem to be quite outnumbered! Hate to say it, but despite us having the better team on paper QLD are far more hardened. Bennett kept their game simple and the players just went out to do their job. Seems like we are just t...
