Re: Wills holiday

No way he deliberately got suspended, would have chosen something that only got himself a week.

Re: Round 24 - Titans vs Storm

  Yep, definitely, no way the 8 could shift from here, no way we could ever beat the sharks... Guess Frank should just call Todd now and say "we give up"

Re: Round 24 - Titans vs Storm

Still way too much movement left in the 8 to be declaring that.
But, if we're going to to win this year, there's a good chance were going to have to beat them at some point to do it.

Re: Round 24 - Titans vs Storm

We're heading into a mini camp at kingscliff today.
Basically an opportunity to get a change of scenery and try and iron out a few bugs prior to our finals run.

Re: Round 24 - Titans vs Storm

That'll do! Not an amazing performance, but controlled enough and got the job done.
That's top 2 pretty much stitched up.

Re: Round 24 - Titans vs Storm

Decent line up considering the injuries, hopefully Sam has some positive impact.

Given it's for family reasons, you can begrudge the guy.
Definitely a loss for us though.

Re: Munster being chased by Roosters

Thanks Cameron. It's not a perfect solution by any means, it'll still see clubs forced to shed tallent they've spent time and money developing. But it would definitely slow down clubs attempting to buy their way to a title. On another more Munster specific note, we'll make him a competitive offer, a...

Re: Munster being chased by Roosters

An alternative to declaring salaries that I've heard suggested a few times now is to assign players a points value based upon performance and stats ( I guess you could kind of liken it to a golfing handicap). A clubs roster would have to fit under a certain points total to be compliant, and those po...

Re: Munster being chased by Roosters

Publicly declaring salaries won't fix the problem. "Brown paper bag" payments will still happen, as will undeclared third party deals. That said, at the end of the day, it's not all about money and celebrity status... If it was, we would never have retained Smith, Slater, Cronk and Bellamy...

Re: Munster being chased by Roosters

I find it interesting that the Titans have admitted they probably do not have the space in their cap for Munster, but the Rooster do not have this problem. Yeah, bit of a head scratcher isn't it. It seems they're working on the theory that Cronk retiring frees up a million per season. Though how th...

Re: Munster being chased by Roosters

Titans have already admitted they probably don't have the required cap space to fit Munster.
Interest doesn't necessarily equate to action.
