Re: Penrith lose- now we play them in Plemin
Yes I see that now,. Would definitely have preferred the Friday night but, to be fair , last year Penrith as minor premiers played their prelim on the Saturday and we played on the Friday. The AFL do it the other way around.

Re: Penrith lose- now we play them in Plemin
I posted after the Parra game that the pre finals training load may have been catching up with us a bit. Given how fresh we looked vs manly vs how tapped out the pennies were looking towards the end of last night's south's game, I feel like Craig's got it right yet again. The resting of players, th...

Re: Qualifying Final - Storm vs Sea Eagles
Riders of the Storm the fact we have a full strength forward pack makes me feel confident if we play anywhere near our best we win. Tui has had a couple of games back and NAS one game and the rest of forwards have had rests. Craig will also have a defensive plan in place to try and nullify Turbo an...

Great point re the venue and the crowd … and an extra day’s break for us .Storm_M_36 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 10:20 pm We will beat the Sea Wiggles for the 2nd time this season. Don't forget it is being played on the Sunshine Coast with a full house crowd!

Re: A Ref's thoughts on Cameron Smith
In other words, he showed respect so he received it back. Exactly right- however , watch the Sydney commentary suggest it is cheating. They prefer the more Neanderthal approach of Robinson, Barrett and Hasler of belittling officials and blaming others for the failings of themselves and their teams .

Re: RD 25 vs Cronulla
Loving the fact cowboys pushed manly’s full strength team for the full 80. Big advantage for us with a heap of our forwards being a lot more fresh for next weeks game. True ( well, 70, not 80 ! ) but Manly have 2 gun wingers, their 3 back rowers are very dangerous, and I think their full back is qu...

Re: Official Injury Updates Thread
So, according to NRL.com.au Jesse Bromwich will only miss a week with an early guilty plea so you'd think they'll make him sit a week and he'll be right for week one of the finals. Depending who you ask here that could be bad news or it could be good news haha He was due a week off next week anyway...

Re: RD 24 Storm vs Parramatta
Stronger team than I thought. For sure expected a few more players to rest this week. Starting Paps is the right decision and if everyone is healthy I'm not sure Hynes fits into the 17. Agreed RE Paps and Nicho. I think that it will come down to whether Bellamy prefers Hynes, Lewis or Eisenhuth for...

Re: Official thread and signing news
The article from the excellent Brent Read confirms that Cole ( who has signed with us ) is Matt’s son, and Mavrik ( sic) is Mark’s son.

Re: Round 23 - Titans vs Storm
Assuming George Jennings is out, to put him in the team, would we play Hynes in the centres with Remis Smith on the wing or keep Remis Smith in the centres and play Dean Ieremia on the wing? Dean is great in offence but defensively he has been targeted. We played the second half with Chris Lewis at...

Re: Round 23 - Titans vs Storm
Honestly still have a better team them even with those handful of guys missing. Still confident we can win this, considering Titans are missing Brimson as well which is a big loss to them. I think NAS was good to go and if it was a final game he could of played, he was running around in training wi...

Re: Official thread and signing news
We missed out on his brother, so we get a guy who’s played 7 senior games. They must see something in him. I have implicit trust in our scouts and recruiting staff They certainly have a pretty good record. There have been some misfires ( I see Georgie Rose is now a boxing promoter ) , but they have...

Re: Ryan Papenhuyzen
Wouldn’t be surprised if he starts this week and Nicho shifts into the halves with Jahrome out Yeah Jahrome probably sits out next week with the head knock. But even without the head knock, he was probably going to be given a spell over the next few weeks. He’s been up for each game all year. Yep, ...
