Re: Round 15 - Eels v Storm
Leutele is a few weeks away. Because of the lack of flights and exorbitant price gouging of those that are running, he only flew out here this week. I think Tuesday or Wednesday he got on the plane. Like the roosters with sbw, he will likely come out of quarantine and undergo a few weeks of training.

Re: Official Injury Updates Thread
I think it’s more than likely that Smith plays this week. Typical cloak and daggers from Storm about Smith injury. I think you’ll find the reason Smith wasn’t there today was because the moment Storm play a Sydney team or travel to Sydney, they are required to go back to the harsher Apollo stage 2 r...

Re: Official Injury Updates Thread
Cam Munster just told Megan Barnard on Fox NRL that he is “at least 5-6 weeks away “. She queried him on it, noting it was longer than had been announced. He then repeated it. Ouch ! Won’t be surprised if this is a bit of smoke and mirrors. Brandon Smith did an online interview with NRL.com and sai...

Re: Round 9 - Dragons vs Storm
Nicholls was taken out of the Easts Tigers game at half time and was put back on a flight to Sydney. So you would imagine he is taking Stimsons spot if Joe is on the coast. Normally you would think Nicholls is covering a last minute injury to a player but it's a bit Bizarre, especially if Stimson pl...

Re: Cronk to leave
Must admit not sure how much credence I give to anything Buzz Rothfield writes BUT if it were true, it's a bit weak. The Club let him stay in Sydney half a week, she stays here every second week & they spend the entire off season living wherever suits them. Seems very out of character for Cronk ...

Re: ANZAC game ticketing
If you are a reserved seat member than you don't have to book for ANY regular season games, as you have paid a premium price for a reserved spot all season. However, with any marquee game, general admission members will need to book a seat (with a booking fee as ticketing is outsourced by the stadiu...

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news
Also I believe the Salary Cap for next year onward still hasn't been finalised yet :( Exactly.... Until the salary cap issue is resolved, players are holding off signing extensions unless absolutely necessary. (Excluding big names who can get TPAs) NAS will reassess his future next year and whether...

Re: Round 25 - Storm vs Broncos
Bullucked NAS was only on 26 mins, (club felt they brought him back too early from injury, was dropped from raiders game to get form in qcup but hurt his back and missed anyway and was than put back in for Manly game with aim to slowly build minutes for finals). KBrom is our most improved player thi...

Re: Round 25 - Storm vs Broncos
We were flat, lazy and just scrambling to defend at times. Broncos defence was outstanding ... But when you are allowed to be in a staggered v formation in defence less than 8 metres, it's not that hard to defend. Honestly we were pulled into line on every set, they would be lucky to have been onsid...

Re: Round 24- Storm vs. Manly
Kevin Proctor will miss this week due to a low grade knee injury he picked up Monday night. (1-2 week injury)
Asofa Solomona apparently copped a back injury very late last week but club is hoping he returns this week.
McLean an outside chance to play but if not will be back for Broncos game.

Re: Possible departures
That story had been already refuted by club last week via Melbourne journos who actually used facts & research as well as contacting club for comment - McLean & Suli are contracted till end of 2017 and will NOT be released. No secret that cows want Jmac but this rumour is a case of several r...

Re: Possible departures
2/3 correct but McLean will not be released before end of 2017 (that is from the club). The conundrum that all clubs are facing is that no one knows what the salary cap is from 2018 onwards and that is holding up clubs from resigning players in advance as it could be anywhere from 500k to $2 million...

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news
That rumour regarding McLean was put forth by Peter Badel on NRL360 and has since been regurgitated by Sydney media. Nick Smart (HS) has already reported that since McLean is contracted 2017, he WONT be released early. Honestly, some of the Sydney media outlets talk garbage esp Matty Johns & MMM...

Re: 2014 Official thread and signing news
Finucane activated his option for next year, meaning he is off contract end of 2017. Management already in talks to extend his contract as he and his partner have settled here and he wants to stay. Once all the immediate players off contract are signed or released, I'd expect an announcement but mig...
