Re: Official thread and signing news

From the Telegraph: STORM STAR PUTS CONTRACT TALKS ON HOLD Melbourne star Ryan Papenhuyzen has confirmed that he has put contract negotiations on hold while he focuses on winning another premiership with the Storm. Papenhuyzen but Papenhuyzen doesn’t want to be bothered until after the finals serie...

Manly for me. I know our record but records are made to be broken and the Chooks, well...

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks

If I read the tea leaves correctly next Saturday night will be the Roosters V Manly/Dogs (who will have a 6 day turnaround) then we play in a fortnight on Saturday against the winner, giving us (?!) 8 days for the big one. On the other side, the Sharks are playing next Friday against the Cows, the ...

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks

- Blore rolled out of tackles a few times with no real urgency to get back in the defensive line. He also didn’t close the gap to his outside man after the pass went a number of times. Some real lazy signs and it can’t be something Craig is happy with. It exposes us for players coming back against ...

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks

Wind would've played a factor in the balls being allowed to bounce. Key for Paps in the offseason will be trying to get some pace back. It's quite notable how often he's getting caught for fewer metres than what he was. His support play has still been fine but he hasn't had too many explosive runs....

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks

Random thought - has state of origin ruined Nicho Hynes? I loved Nicho and still love him and can't help but feel sorrow for him. Got crucified when thrown in to the centres, on a hiding to nothing. Looks great in a good team but when that team is not going forward he looks terrible. Does that rub ...

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks

Some really dumb plays though, Munster grubber on the 3rd to no one, same with Hughes. Papenhuyzen trying to chip through early was also a head scratcher. The kick on the fourth is so on, so long as the kick is right and the outside backs are ready for it. Both times the kick has fallen too short. ...

Both Sharks tries come from our mistakes, the first was so dumb.

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks

What was Harry Grant doing raking the ball on tackle 5 with a minute to go? That’s got to be the most bone headed play I’ve ever seen in my life. But did he? I can't believe 3 in a tackle, the last (I think) and it comes out. I have a suspicion players loosen their grip on the ball I the hope it co...

Funny thing about this is there must've been a sizeable number of people who thought the Chooks would get up last night.

Win this arvo and it'll be the Chooks in a fortnight?

I was a bit annoyed, as was a couple of others I see, that the times were changed. You've really got to read all the club emails in great detail.
